Great Product! Gamer Approved!
I’ve now tried four different roasts from Volcanica Coffee Company, and each one has offered something unique. I've brewed all of them using my Chemex, standard pour-over, and French press setups. Across the board, these beans have been fresh, aromatic, and consistently better than anything store-bought. The Costa Rica Tarrazu has been my favorite so far - smooth, clean, and vibrant, with a nicely balanced citrus brightness and a touch of sweetness. It’s an easy 5/5 and one I could easily see as my daily brew. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe stands out with its bright, fruity, and floral profile. It makes for a clean, complex cup that’s perfect when I want something a bit more lively and layered. The Bolivia Peaberry was rich and full-bodied, with a deeper, more nuanced flavor. I may have received an older bag, but it still tasted great. A little pricier than the others, but worth it if you're looking for something different. The Mexican Medium Roast was smooth, balanced, and slightly nutty with a mild sweetness. It’s mellow and easy to drink, perfect for a more traditional daily cup. Here’s my current ranking based on taste and overall experience: 1. Costa Rica Tarrazu 2. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe 3. Bolivia Peaberry 4. Mexican Medium Roast I'm Excited to try more from Volcanica soon. Highly recommend their whole-bean options if you're looking to step up your home brewing game.

First time trying Volcanica and it's one of the best Yirgacheffe's I've tasted. 100% worth a try!
I use this for 90% pour over with a v60, and 10% with a Bonavita drip machine. Using a Wilfa Uniform grinder, set to 18 for pour over and 23 for drip. With both methods, the lemon and blueberry notes come through loud and clear. The lemon is more tangy than sweet, and the blueberry is more sweet than tangy. Overall, the cup leans slightly acidic which works very well with these flavors. Has a light-medium body that should certainly appeal the average coffee drinker. As a whole, this is a coffee that will make the unsuspecting guest in your home pause after they take their first sip. They will immediately know they are drinking something different/better than what they are used to. This blows away anything you will buy at your local grocery store or coffee chain, and is as good or better than some of the best real coffee shops in my area. Will definitely purchase this one again and will also be trying more from this roaster.

Kind of of enjoyed it.
I'm very familiar with Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee. It's one of my favorites. This batch was good, but not top shelf as I expect from this particular bean. The aroma was mild, the taste mild, and the buzz good, but far from the punch it normally contains as the most potent. So I respectfully gave this review 4 stars for this reason. It's a 12-15 dollar 16oz quality, not a 20 dollar one.

This review is specifically for Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
Even though I prefer coffee that's primarily dark roasts (French/Italian, etc.), I have been on a "exotic" coffee streak of late so I decided to give this a try. This one was, at best, TERRIBLE. Probably one of the worst coffee flavor profile I've had (Kona being distant second and I avoid Kona like the 'rona). In fairness, I gave it three stars since the coffee itself wasn't out of date or anything, it's just not in my taste profile wheelhouse. It's very sour and "bright" and not in a good way. I guess if you like that style, it might be for you. I gave it a fair shake trying various grind sizes and brew methods (drip, pour over, French press, etc.) and they all tasted terrible. This is the first bag of coffee that I tossed after giving it several tries. I really tried to make it work but in the end, it's just not a good tasting coffee IMO.

Very good but expensive.
Very good but I'll stick with Lavazza (iTIERRA Organic) as you can't beat the price/flavor ratio!

Worst Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee yet
Update after finishing the bag. Probably the worst Ethiopian Yirgacheffe whole bean coffee I've had. Low quality, beans look like a grade 3 or 4. Over roasted, no flavor. The beans taste as if they have been sitting for a long time before being roasted. Very disappointing. Not even a hint of flavor. Cheap commercial coffee beans offer more flavor then this.

Tastly Ethiopian coffee
One of my favorites. Bag opens weird, but that's on me. I like it.
