can you see through this wax papre ?

Just a little bit, it's kind of blurry. However, if your intention is to trace, it does work.

Is this "wet" or "dry" waxed paper? Looking for the type that will hold up to wet foods.

It's shiny waxed paper, might be ok for a little while on wet foods

MENOMINEE PAPER COMPANY, INC. owns the Waxtex trademark. They just had a huge fire at a mill in Menominee MI this past week where the governor declared a county wide state of emergency. I cannot easily discover what they use as their wax coating.

Is this wax paper as good as the sheets that come with cold cuts from a deli? I need wax paper that will resist the moisture & not get soggy like that

No. Waxtex is ordinary rolled waxed paper that will go soggy if wrapping food. Look for “Kabnet-Wax” (blue box of 500) or “Deli Sheets”. On Amazon. And at Sam’s. These are SO much better for covering food and individual sheets are easier to deal with than the constant coiling rolled paper. I also use Kabnet-Wax sheets to cover reheating food in the microwave - no splatters.
