Cattlemen's Original Base BBQ Sauce

Several years ago I started experimenting with this Cattleman's base sauce mixing it with other readily available store bought sauces to create a combination that I've yet to find after trying countless off the shelf sauces. After a lot of tweaking my alpha sauce consists of approximately 60% Cattleman's base, 30% Cattleman's Memphis Sweet, and 10% Stubb's original BBQ sauce. The end result is a tangy and sweet bodiness with a kiss of pineapple essence, and just a hint of heat and smokiness. The texture is unique and upscale in my opinion. It's not that sheeny high fructose texture like what is seen with something like kraft bbq. I have offered it to those who claim to not like BBQ sauce and they went bananas for it. Food for thought for anybody who likes to experiment. Also, I just use a cleaned empty 1 gallon Cattleman's bottle to make the mix in, works great to shake it up and combine everything.

Best tasting bar b q sauce, I wouldn't change it for nothing.

The Cattlemen's Original Base BBQ Sauce is an absolute game-changer! The 1-gallon container is perfect for chefs or anyone who loves to BBQ at home, and it’s incredibly versatile. I’ve used it on ribs, brisket, and even as a base for sauces for salads and seafood, and it never disappoints. The flavor is rich, tangy, and perfectly balanced, making it ideal for all kinds of meats and dishes. What I love most is its customizability. It’s the perfect foundation to get creative with by adding your own spices and seasonings. Whether you're making BBQ sauces, marinades, or just enjoying it straight from the bottle, the possibilities are endless. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to elevate their BBQ game, and for anyone who cooks for a crowd—this sauce base will go a long way!

Best BBQ base sauce. My 3rd one.

The expiration date is only good for 2 months. I must of gotten an old one sitting on the self somewhere. This is not the first time I have boughten Cattleman's, in fact, I have been buying Cattleman's for years at several different stores and this is the first time I have ever seen this short of shelve life, and it wasn't even discounted. I would appreciate a refund or a new gallon of Cattleman's Base BBQ Sauce sent to me. This way I will have it available for the Summer's BBQ season before it expires. Thank you, Dan

Great product, well worth the weight

I cook a lot of BBQ. Butts, shoulders, chicken and ribs. I have tried making my own sauce a variety of ways. This Cattleman's base sauce allows me to try a number a small batch recipes until I get just the flavor profile that I am looking for. This base has a great flavor when combined with honey, molasses, brown sugar or my favorite vinegar. I little apple ciser vinegar abd some spices makes a quick, easy great sauce.
