VCNY Ellington 7-Piece Comforter Set, Queen, Taupe

This is a pretty nice bedding set for the price. Everything matches perfectly and I like that it is all machine washable. When you do wash it, I highly suggest doing so on delicate. I pulled on the skirt a little to even it out after I had my mattress in place and it ripped right on the stitching where the brown material that hangs down meets the white material that sits under the mattress. It wasn't a huge deal, my Grandma just pulled out her sewing machine and fixed it right up. She said that it has happened to her with bed skirts that she received in $500 bedding sets. Just keep in mind, the stitching / material is not exactly "high quality".I do understand that you get what you pay for. I didn't want to spend $100+ on a new bed set, so that is why I went with this. Still a good value.

I order this on June 9, 2013 and received it July 24, 2013. I did have the option to cancel, but thought since I wasn't in any hurry, I would just wait it out. They advertise it as "Blue", but I have to say, what was sent to me was closer to green, so I might have cancelled if I knew this. The picture looks nicer than what I think it actually is. The tucks are poorly sewn, and where the 2 brown lines intersect, is off. I am only keeping it for (3) reasons, I have "hot chocolate" colored walls in the room (so I was at a loss for what colors would look good) and it works okay, this wasn't terribly expensive, and don't want to go thru the hassle of trying to fold it all back up, box it up, and pay shipping to send it back.

You buy this product for the look. The quality of the comforter is good but not great as it has a bit of a faux-suede feel to it. This will never become your "favorite blanket", but the aesthetic is great for a guest bedroom (aside from the covering wrinkles). And sleeping in it is decent. I could see a more choosy person giving this product a much harsher review, but I've used this as my main bedding for the past two weeks and haven't run into any issues. If I were a guest and this were the bedding I was given I would be quite happy with it. For what it is (a cheap guest bedroom comforter with pillows/cases) this product deserves 3.5 stars, not 4, not 3.

This is a nice, comfy and soft comforter and pillow set. The material it is made of does feel very soft to the touch, but it attracts animal fur like a magnet and it doesn't wash away well either. You will have to use a lint roller and that will help some. Another issue I had is that the cover doesn't lay well on my bed. With the comforter being very fluffy (overfilled really) it just layed awkward on the bed. Instead of the smooth appearance shown in the photo, the bed is lumpy in areas, and the sides stick out more than lay out. I wanted my bedding to look classy and sophisticated, but it looks like a teenager made the bed, no matter how hard I try to lay everything nice and flat. The bedding is also very, very thick which I don't think you can notice very well from the photo. I definitely can not use it during the summer months here in Florida.

This set was key for my bedroom re-do. I wanted master bed and bath upstairs to be shades of grey and black so I can change out pops of color to change the look. I really love the quality of this set and it's worth every penny. The comforter is a soft, fluffy one with a sort of "suede feel" (I have a queen bed but bought the king set because I like a larger comforter and king pillows). The pillow shams and decorative pillows that come with this set are great. They are perfect with my black fabric headboard. I'm currently accenting the greys with a few pops of yellow (throw pillows, decorative items), but it would match with any brights (future plans to change the color accents to chartreuse or even fuchsia). Absolutely happy with this purchase!

My husband and I searched for a month to find a foe suede comforter in this color combo that was not the typical color blocking. This caught our eye. I was thrilled when I pulled it out of the bag and there was not a single loose thread or snag. The pleated pattern sections add to the the texture I enjoy. Color was better than the image showed. Best of all it has not been a fight for the covers over night because it actually is the best true KING size we have found. The price made me worry but this really was a great find that we took a chance on. The search all started because we got sick of the duvet cover with comforter always sliding to the bottom of the duvet even with clips in place. Great change for us!

We got the king comforter set, and i like the color, but it looks weird because it's not quite wide enough for our mattress.We have a thicker pillow top, and there's a ~4 inch gap on each side between the end of the comforter and the bedskirt. It looks weird because we have white sheets that really stick out. I'm going to have to buy charcoal sheets or something to make this less noticeable. I would have returned it if i had realized before i washed it. There is really no extra width, considering how popular thick mattresses are these days. My mattress is probably about 5 inches thicker than a non-pillow top, so there is less than an inch of wiggle room on each side, i would say.Also, it's super wrinkled out of the dryer. It's been about a week since we got it and washed it. I'm hopeful it gets better with time!

Price was good, material has a funky feel to it. material not a high quality. every time I change sheets when tucking in corners the sheets stick to the dust ruffle and is dragged under the mattress. When you pull the dust ruffle out it pulls the sheet out with it.. I plan to buy a better dust ruffle and throw away the original.. Good set to put in a guest room where it is not used much.
