Alas, for wood not baking.
Excellent. Elevated my wood working game. Adds a level of fit, finish and precision that I lacked before, despite hours of planning and wasted effort. Now, less waste and confidence increasing.Great for home workshop. Not festool level, but it is close at a fraction of price.Recently have purchased several WEN items (air filter, saws (plunge and miter etc) and more). They are as good or better than the Ryobi level products but even cheaper. Can outfit my workshop for a fraction of higher priced brands. Starting to trust the brand.Wife asked to borrow, She assumed it would be useful in kitchen to link shortbread cookies for a tiramisu style dessert. (She was joking but her comical attempts were worth the cost of purchase alone).Btw - dessert was a mess but delicious.

Very impressive value for the price
It's my second wen product purchase. It works great, smooth and powerful operation. I haven't used it for joining wood yet, I got it to do a hidden fastener deck because I didn't want grooves visible all around, or screws in the picture frame portion. It worked awesome for that purpose. I'm a carpenter by trade and I will get all sorts of use out of this tool. It's high enough quality to have my approval, that says a lot because I'm very picky about my tools

Great tool for the price
Just received this the other day, and had my first opportunity to use it yesterday. Setup is very easy (except for the depth adjustment) and works very well overall. The only real flaw in its operation is the dust collector. This chute is very narrow, and clogged almost immediately. The collection bag provided barely had any sawdust, as it couldn't get through the chute. I would have to vacuum it out after every few cuts. The other negative of this tool - and the reason for 4 stars - is the depth adjustment. The lock-nut is an odd size - I think 7mm though I haven't found a wrench that fits yet, and it comes with so much thread lock on the tiny screw that it is really hard to turn (I had to adjust mine for the harbor freight biscuits I bought because their #0 were just slightly larger than the one that came with the cutter.Overall, I do recommend this tool for the price. I can't imagine the need to spend hundreds of dollars for something where the $50+ I paid does the job. I only wish I had owned one of these tools years ago!

A very good value for a hobbyist.
I bought this for an upcoming project. I've been a woodworking hobbyist for 50 years but have never felt a strong enough need for a biscuit joiner until now. After 1 practice cut on a piece of scrap, I tried it out on a a small project (6 biscuits - see pic for context) and found it much easier to use than I had feared. It came set up almost perfect for placing the biscuit in the middle of a 3/4" board, which is what I will need for my big project. I didn't measure how accurate the 90° setting was out of the box, but it was plenty close enough for the biscuits to work perfectly. All that was required was to clamp the pieces securely, and the rest was really quite easy ... the tool cut cleanly and smoothly, and I never felt like there was any danger of a kick-back. I will state, however, that I followed the advice of another reviewer here and bought a CMT blade with it, so I can't speak to the quality of the stock blade. I'm very pleased with my purchase ... I assume it won't be as robust as the models costing $100 more (and up), but I believe it's going to be a very good tool for someone like me who won't need it very often.

great biscuit joiner for the money
Needed a joiner to put a wood counter top together and never used one before, Bought this one cause I may only use it once and didnt want to spend a bunch on one. This thing worked great and was very easy to use and learn how to adjust. great biscuit joiner for the money

Good tool for the price, if you put a better blade on it.
It is probably not as accurate or easy to setup as say a Dewalt for three times the price, so not something I would recommend for a production shop, but for a hobby wood shop, it works just fine, and the price is right. The one complaint I have is that the blade that comes with it is garbage, it cuts with so much friction that it shifts the cut off the mark, and burs the cut. So spend $20 for a CMT cutter blade, which cuts like going through butter, this tool becomes a pleasure to use. Even with an additional $20 for a decent blade, the price is makes this a great deal.
