Honestly this is a great deal. I could spend way more on filters thankfully I found these. Really good price. I love the quality to it especially the carbon in it. I’ve noticed it prevents algae growth in my tank and filters out particles in the water. Very good performance. I’ve used tap water with fish solution but it had particles floating on the top cause the solution like made them float, a few hours later I couldn’t see those particle's on top of the water as they got filtered out by the carbon in it I believe. I have not seen any safety concerns that I would like to mention and have not noticed any safety with this specific product very safe to use. My last fish died because it got caught behind its water heater, I’ve never had issues with this filter part. Really no issues in general at all. Very easy to use. Just find the right fit before you buy.

Grest filters and good value for the amount.

My son has a small 3 gallon aquarium. With the small pump and these filters iy still doesnt keep the water that clear. The filters do seem to filter out debree but the bottom line is its still dirty. Ill say this, the pump works fine and maybe the pump is too small for a 3 gallon tank. But the manufacturer says otherwise. Maybe I should step up to a larger pump. But still, these dont do the job I expected. Im giving it a 3 star because it might be a combination of pump and filter. Im not sure on that. A larger pump will tell.UPDATE>>> I went to a larger pump and it works perfect. I use the medium filters and the water is crystal clear. So it seems to be a situation of the pump being to small for a 3 gallon tank. So Ill update my review to a 4.
