More effective than cotton swabs, and more likely to cause damage. Not something you'd give to a kid. they're great as long as you're careful. For me, the handle was longer than I wanted.

Works well, no problem. But I recently asked my family to buy similar product directly from japan and it’s definitely lower quality (especially the fluffy part) and much more expensive than what they got from japan.

This product is just as advertised! It feels great and I love the feather feature for after cleaning. I've used other metal products, but something about bamboo is just different. Highly recommend this product!

I grew up with these. My family is from Japan so my Mom always used these ear cleaners on my brother and me when we were little. We didn’t know there was any other way, like Q-tips. While these are probablybetter for the environment than Qtips, you have to be much more careful with a wooden ear cleaner. If you’ve never handled one in your own ear or it’s been a while, don’t stick it too far into your ear canal, because you could really hurt yourself. Use it to get junk off the outer ear, opening of the ear, but don’t excavate too far. Be gentle and test the area inside your ear slowly. I like this specific ear cleaner because the scoop at the end is smaller than some others I’ve seen.

…because sometimes your ear canal itches. Does a decent job cleaning, I suppose? I till prefer q-tips after a shower, but I like having one of these in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, since sometimes I just want to gently assess a precise area.

One of them came broken but oh well at least the end piece does the job and gets all those ear biscuits out

Note that the product is, by nature, fragile. They are thin bamboo sticks. Due to the rounded nature of the cup-like end, minimal force would of course, break the tips. And that is how these arrived - with broken tips. I would prefer not to jab inside my ear with jagged shards of bamboo, and thus, the product is unusable. This could be remedied if the product were shipped with something to either cover the tips, or in some kind of small box. However, the product is shipped using a padded, bubble-wrap envelope, which is not enough to keep the item from being bent/broken. That said, not worth the refund amount for me to send the broken item back. But, worth it for me to let you all know the possibility of it arriving broken.
