X-PRO Hawk 250 Dirt Bike Motorcycle Enduro Motorcycle, Big 21"/18" Wheels!(Black)

Ok, having ridden all types of bikes for 55 years, this one is the most fun. Maybe it’s because of the ridiculously low price? Maybe it’s just because it’s a nice, fun bike! The entire ordering and shipping procedure was typical Amazon, meaning, it was easy and the bike arrived at my driveway in about a week. There were no assembly instructions but there are plenty of online videos to guide you. All in all, figure about three hours to unpack and assemble what needs assembling. An extra person is helpful at times to help hold the bike up before the front wheel goes on, the back shock gets mounted, etc. The battery needed a charge and has been holding a good charge ever since. Once assembled we poured some gas in, hit the starter, fiddled with the choke and she fired up😎😎. We then made a few adjustments to the clutch and throttle cables and now this thing is a riot! Hey, it’s good looking too, better in real life than in the pics. Some parts are a little chintzy, but everything works - except for the speedometer which reads about 15 mph LOW on mine. But there are plenty of nice quality upgrade aftermarket parts on Amazon if you want to jazz it up (which I’m having fun doing). On the other hand, there are some surprisingly nice parts on it such as the billet aluminum gas cap and BRAIDED STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINES. I don’t remember any of my Japanese bikes coming with those from the factory. Another nice thing about this bike is it’s utter simplicity. EVERYTHING is easy to work on. Plus, if you get the carbed model like mine and since they come with both kick and electric start, well if the battery gets low you can kick start it. Here’s the final and perhaps the nicest part. One of the rear blinkers had a slight droop to it. No big deal but I figured I’d reach out to the company. I quickly received a nice reply and they asked for a picture. I got distracted with life and never sent it. I got the mail today and there was a small, unexpected box - a brand new blinker, beautifully packaged. So for a very low price you get a really nice bike with outstanding customer support. Just get one!

wanted a dirt bike for climbing my mountain of a back yard i have yet to make it up it but in the bike’s defense im a little inexperienced when it comes to hill climbs but its also great on the road and very upgradable. The speedometer cable is too short and kinks and breaks ive reached out to xpro and they sent me one the exact same size they just need to make it like 3in longer so it doesn’t kink and break or break anything else. Another good thing to check when you first get it is check the valve clearance it came with no clearance when its supposed to have .002” or what it says in the last page of your manual. I also upgraded the carburetor the stock one is definitely to small it causes the engine to get hot from running lean. I got a nibbi fl28 it fits with original manifold and has a better main and pilot jet and improves performance. I will be getting a nibbi throttle assembly and plan to delete the airbox with rerouting the pcv to a oil catch can. It will add room under the seat but I’ve heard the air box can be restrictive same with the exhaust they recommend upgrading that too eventually but out the box its not bad considering you get a dirtbike with the paperwork to make it street legal which they send separately. I’ve also had the cover bolt for checking clearances break but ive found a replacement for now while i wait for a replacement it seems stock one was made of very cheap aluminum but a doorman m14-1.50 oil drain plug worked for me i might just keep it permanently since it is better quality than original and is the same size socket as the nut to adjust position 14mm. If you do reach out to xpro they do get back to you the next business day. Upgrade the throttle nibbi makes a good throttle too

Would recommend if you have mechanical skills. Waited for the 1000 mile mark to do the review so here we go.AssemblyFairly simple and straight forward. Be sure to blue locktite everything.FunctionThe fuel gauge did not work out of the box. Luckily the bike has a reserve tank and I am used to not having a gauge.Speedometer is not accurate, between 5 and 12 mph off depending, the faster you go the worse it is. Also the needle tends to jump at speeds over gps verified 50mph.Be sure to drain the oil that is in the engine when delivered.Can not speak on the stock carburetor because I removed it and put a nibbi racing carb on during initial assembly.Lights all function well enough.No issues on the engine it's self so far however I would suggest upgrading and changing the spark plug ASAP if you install the nibbi as this was causing the bike to run rich due to poor ignition.Tires preform well after the brake in and are barely showing signs of wear.At 6'2 190lbs with 35lbs of gear top speed is 63mph after changing the sprockets to a 17/45.Overall I would buy again. Regarding the fuel gauge and speedometer issues, I did not attempt to contact the seller for replacements because these are not important to me, use gps for speed and keep track of miles driven or fill up soon after you switch to reserve.

So I've had this motorcycle for 4 years now and I have almost 6,000 miles on it. Not kilometers.....miles. it has been a fantastic motorcycle. It is always reliable and affordable,, whether it is gas mileage or the cost of insurance for one year. My insurance is about $75 for one year for this motorcycle. Right out of the box all I did was change the gear ratio to achieve around 60 miles per hour. I am 6'1 and 240 lb and it is not too small at all. It is a fairly large bike actually it sits up tall. I have tested pretty much every aspect of this bike within the four years I've had it. It is excellent on road and off road and even holds up if you wipe out. You will not win any speed competitions. But it is reliable and will get you down the trail or up the mountain just maybe not as fast. In summary this motorcycle is fantastic and way worth the money if you take care of it it will last a long time.
