A size of needle which is ideal for thicker fabric
I have a set of 5 needles called "Jeans Needle." These are bigger needles with a bigger thread hole to sew jeans, canvas, overalls. I find that the needle barely pierce into the very thick denim seam on the side seams of the jean, there is double folded fabric over to form a seam and it feels like the will needle break.Perhaps on a lighter denim fabric, the jean needle will work.FT Maru

The best, but OUTRAGEOUS PRICE.
These are the best for my Bernina machine but the cost of the needles is prohibitive. It is expected to break needles when doing a large project and the cost of these needles is ridiculous.
