Mean Green Power Hand Scrub - 1.5 oz (2 oz Jar)

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Bought this for the family, since we do a lot of outdoor stuff on land filled with poison ivy. The easiest thing to prevent poison ivy rashes from popping up is to scrub any exposed skin with Mean Green in the shower imeediately. If any rashes still pop up afterwards, it can be used just like Zanfel (the pricey stuff in the stores) to eradicate poison ivy rashes. It's wonderful in that it can be used on old rashes and get rid of the problem in a day.I bought and sent some for my mom who had a misdiagnosed poison ivy rash spreading all over her body. She has very sensitive skin, had had the rash for over a week (doctor thought it was a bacterial infection, but didn't even examine her). Mean Green really helped zap all the recurring rashes from her scratching her whole body. I was afraid she might find it too abrasive, but she had no skin issues in that respect. She thinks that Zanfel might work a tad better, but that might be because she used Zanfel on the initial onset, and it was able to get rid of the majority. As Zanfel is $30-45 (depending on which place wants to milk poor unfortunates and take advantage of their miserable, poison ivy-induced state), my mom really appreciated Mean Green.This is really good to have on hand, since you don't want to have to spend a bundle on expensive treatments. I've used it to get out stubborn stains on skin as well.

As a lady, I do not get that grubby that I need a super powerful de-grimer, but I love this stuff as a body scrub! I use it in the shower to get rid of dead skin on my arms and legs and it works like magic! My skin feels so soft and smooth and CLEAN! I also used it to scrub my feet at night before I go to bed and it helps my feet stay soft and pretty.I have very sensitive, normal to oily skin, with mild patches of papules on my forehead and above/in my eyebrows, so I was hesitant to use this on my face, but I figured I might as well give it a go. I gave my face a good scrub with it and then just rinsed it off with warm water. It left my face feeling very soft and it might have been that it actually helped to reduce my acne! I will give you all an update on how that goes in a few months.All in all, I would say I would buy Mean Green again. You can't really go wrong with it. It will clean anything and everything, it doesn't have a nasty chemical smell to it (which is really nice!), and it's got a lovely green shade to it as well. ;-P So go out and buy yourself a jar and enjoy being clean! (I know, I sound like an add. Sorry! :P)UPDATE: This has not cleared up my acne, but it has helped keep my face smooth and bright. I use it about twice a week on my face and once a week on my body.

This stuff WORKS for poison oak, I think better than the stuff that literally costs 20 times as much (one cannot possibly afford enough of that stuff to handle a major outbreak). I did have a major outbreak this time, so I bought the 38 oz jar too and scooped it into this smaller jar for easy use. I washed my whole body with this stuff (rubbed it til sudsy between wet hands then rubbed it vigorously on each section of body) especially hands and under nails and washed everything I could have touched. Since the oak had spread to places that could not have possibly been exposed I suspect I spread it by rubbing lotion on my body. Anyhow, keep this stuff around and wash with it preventively if think you got touched by poison oak. Because its no fun to have a long outbreak like I had! But comforting to know it can heal up without cortisone shots, with all their side effects and stress on the body.

This is the most expensive hand cleaner I have ever purchased so it was an unpleasant surprise to have it arrive with the lids on both containers loose and both covered in green slime, and the contents of both containers being almost as dry as sand in the desert. The large container was sent in a package that kept it on its side with a loose lid with no internal or external seal. Apparently gasket or seal under the lid or over it is too much to expect. The tiny container was sealed in a loose plastic bag which ensured that the inside and the outside of the bag was thoroughly slimed. I had to rinse everything in the sink to be able to touch it or set it anywhere without getting slime on anything that the outside of the containers came in contact with. Not impressed.

I bought this stuff after reading that it helps remove the oil from poison oak. It did not help my rash at all in fact it just irritate it more. Stick to Tecnu for removing oil after exposure and during an outbreak of poison oak. The reason for three stars is that it works great for removing grease and grime from my hands after working on the car. Therefore I give it 1 star for treating poison oak and 5 stars for removing grease and grime.

I just reordered the largest size. My mother and daughter got poison ivy rashes. They wash with this and it provides immediate relief. When washing, wet skin, then scrub in a circular motion. Hot or cold water doesn't seem to matter. They use it 2-3 times daily when the rash is at its worst, but since findings this product, the rash never gets very bad. Now they wash with it as soon as they come in from the horse pasture ( also wash the clothes in hottest water on largest setting, no other clothes), and they only get small spots, no more large outbreaks.

This is the best soap for those who get grease and grime all over their hands. I got two tubs. One for home and one for work. Both containers had leaked during shipping and one cracked. Next time I'm going to order a bigger size and see if the tub is a better quality.
