When I saw Iris Van Herpen’s dress on the front, I clicked. And I’m glad I did. The book is beautiful and seems to be very informative. I can’t say I’m a fashion expert or anything but the organization of the book flows well, the writing is strong and makes sense and it seems as though there has been a good deal of research that has gone into this. If you like fashion and want to see how women have contributed to it over the years - this is the book for you!!P.S. If you are thinking of using this as some kind of coffee table decoration (ya know, cuz the cover is so pretty) I would like to mention that the book is rather large, so unless you have a very large coffee table, this may be too bulky for such use

I received The Women Who Revolutionized Fashion as a gift, and it's an instant favorite. Fashion is a male-dominated business. When you think of designers, names like Azzedine Alaïa, Tom Ford, Michael Kors, Karl Lagerfeld, and Ralph Lauren immediately come to mind. However, an equal number of women blazed a trail in fashion and deserve to be exalted and mentioned in the same breath as any male. This book beautifully fills that void.The photos are gorgeous. The span of history it encompasses is awe-inspiring. This book is a must-have for any fashion lover, history buff, and especially any young person looking for inspiration as they begin a career in fashion.

I was so thrilled to finally receive my copy last weekend! It was an absolute delight curling up on the couch with a mug of tea and diving into this treasure of a book. This is the perfect compendium for lovers of fashion, design, women’s history and photography. I am ordering a second copy for my friend!
