I expected them to be a little bit bigger and sturdier, but they are on the thin side and break easily.I got used to them quickly, though.

These were cheap. They kept breaking in half when trying to strike or the end would break when striking.

I like these little boxes of matches very much. They are more useful and light-weight than those clumsy butane lighters and take up LESS room. You can keep a little box of matches in your pocket and they don't smell like lighter fluid either, plus they are made of wood and can be recycled right into your fire! If you buy a large amount at one time they will be lower in price for eack box.

These matches worked fine at first. I ordered them 18 months ago from Amazon and they've been sitting in our garage, sheltered from the elements but subject to cold/hot temperature swings. Now they are very difficult to strike and light. The material on the tip has gotten crumbly and tends to just fall off when trying to strike against the box. It takes me 6-8 matches before I can successfully light a match.I'll be ordering a different kind next time.
