Amazon Brand - Happy Belly Granulated White Cane Sugar, 2lb

I have no idea what else to put other then its sugar so I'm just gonna keep typing until I find a limit to this review. The sugar is white and sweet. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but most other people like it. It did dissolve in hot water, but in cold water there was still globs of sugar at the bottom of the kool-aid pitcher. It was good for baking. I made: red velvet cake, brownies, sugar cookies, sugar coated donuts, and tanghulu. The tanghulu was sweet but the sugar did not harden like we expected. After reviewing the recipe though, we realized that we made some mistakes in making it. So it was not the sugar's fault. For the red velvet cake, we combined the eggs sugar and butter together and it was a nice smooth mixture. The brownies were a bit too sweet, but sometimes sugar will do that to food. I think the sugar cookies turned out okay, because they tasted exactly like sugar. The sugar coated donuts were as good as could be expected.Overall, we give sugar a 5 star because it is sweet. (We never found the limit, if there is one we certainly can't find it.)

If you were used to Domino sugar that is refined, has a small granulated, fine texture and is very white, this is not for you. The sugar has a larger granule and is closer to a sugar in the raw texture than the sugar you might be used to. Personally I love this sugar and it’s more caramel taste. If you want white sugar buy something else.

I found the Amazon Sigar to be a little pricier than dominos but not by much. It saves me a trip to the store as I live in an air and don’t have a car.

Thought I would try this Amazon Brand Happy Belly brand of sugar. Good price, funny name.It is a bit more granular than the brand I normally use, and a bit beige in color, but the taste is good. It melted in my tea right away, and I will try it this weekend to make some bread.Very pleased and recommend.

Has anyone seen the price of sugar these days!?? Although this took a while to arrive, looks like I’ll be ordering more and more perishables from Amazon - anything they put their name on is the best for less!!

The grind for this sugar is a bit larger than most other sugars. You may have to modify your recipes if you are using volume measurement instead of weight.

Nothing special other than its sweet like all sugar
