Perfect condition red oak crown moulding
The oak crown moulding came in a tall strong shipping canister, in sterling condition. This is the first time I stained wood before, but it came out a perfect match to my existing oak cabinets. Yay! I am very happy with this purchase.

High Quality but bad piece
I ordered this moulding to finish off several built in bookshelves in a home library. The moulding was packaged and shipped extremely well in a long tube wrapped and protected from breakage an the moulding was of good quality. My problem (and the reason for 3 stars) was that one of the pieces I received had a bold dark spot in the center of a 94 inch piece (see picture). The others were good, but I calculated the exact footage and needed every inch of that order. The fact that the bad spot was in the center of the piece, I had to reengineer the cuts so that that part would be at the least visible side of the bookshelf. The bookshelves are stained a nice walnut, the bad spot sticks out even though I was able to place it on the least viewed side by using three smaller left over pieces to make the ends meet - it made a lot of extra work. That spot distracts from the beauty of one bookshelf. If I had of picked this out at a lumber yard, I would not have gotten that one piece and anyone who packaged that order should have noticed that spot and not included it. I guess it would be OK for someone who painted their project, but bad dark spots do not work with stain.
