Not the Best, but Really GREAT Lens
Use this for my Lumix S5. Versitile lens for portrait and video. Dont expect too highly of it. You'll get great shots

A great lens for people who don't need to use filters
I used the L-mount version of this lens and loved the more compact size of this.Unfortunately I had to return this lens for one major reason: this lens has strong Vignetting and filters accentuate it further.Compared to the Panasonic 24-70, this lens starts to show the Vignetting of the lens filters at 2 filters at the 24mm side. It doesn't go away until 35mm. If I want to stack 3 filters, I have to go above 50mm.The Panasonic doesn't start showing Vignetting until the 4th filter at 24mm and it goes away at 35mm.Because I tend to use anywhere from 1-3 filters at any given time for my videography I unfortunately had to return this lens, but if you're someone who doesn't use filters then this is a no brainer.

Excellent built, great autofocus, very sharp!
Although it is a very heavy lens, image and build quality are excellent.

The product arrived in poor condition.
The box with the lens was not sealed. The lens mount is dirty and covered in dust. It looks terrible.

Sometimes when you are in portrait orientation, the lens gets dark for no reason.
Dont know why this happends. Overall the performance is great but dont use portrait orientation

sigma has finally found a unique way of producing camera lenses with their art series line. color,clarity and sharpness is excellent. build quality,appearance and size is outstanding. on par with Nikon and canon,way better results than the sony 24-105.
