Twelve South AirFly Pro, Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter, White

**Twelve South AirFly Pro - Wireless Transmitter/Receiver for AirPods & Wireless Headphones** As someone who frequently travels and prefers using wireless headphones, I was intrigued by the Twelve South AirFly Pro. This device promises to bridge the gap between traditional in-flight entertainment systems and modern wireless audio devices, making it an attractive option for frequent flyers like myself. **What I Like:** - **Versatile Functionality**: The AirFly Pro can function as both a transmitter and a receiver, which is a huge plus. As a transmitter, it allows me to connect my AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones to any device with a headphone jack, such as airplane entertainment systems, gym equipment, or even older stereo systems. As a receiver, it turns wired speakers or car stereos into Bluetooth-compatible devices. - **Dual Headphone Support**: One of the standout features is the ability to connect two sets of headphones simultaneously. This is perfect for sharing a movie or music with a travel companion on a flight, ensuring both of us can enjoy wireless audio without any hassle. - **Compact and Portable Design**: The AirFly Pro is small and lightweight, making it easy to carry in a pocket, purse, or carry-on bag. It comes with a handy keychain attachment, so I never have to worry about losing it during my travels. - **Long Battery Life**: The battery life is impressive, offering up to 16 hours of use on a single charge. This is more than enough for even the longest flights, and the device can be recharged quickly using the included USB-C cable. **What I Don’t Like:** - **Initial Pairing Process**: While pairing the AirFly Pro with my headphones was relatively straightforward, it took a couple of attempts to get everything connected properly. Once paired, it worked flawlessly, but the initial setup might require some patience. - **Audio Lag**: There’s a slight audio lag when watching videos, especially on older in-flight entertainment systems. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it can be noticeable if you’re sensitive to audio sync issues. The lag is minimal but worth mentioning for those who prioritize perfect synchronization. - **Price**: The AirFly Pro is on the pricier side for an accessory, but given its versatility and functionality, I find it justifiable. However, if you’re only planning to use it occasionally, you might need to weigh the cost against the frequency of use. **Bottom Line:** The Twelve South AirFly Pro is an excellent accessory for anyone who wants to use their wireless headphones with devices that don’t support Bluetooth, particularly during air travel. Its versatile functionality, ability to connect two headphones simultaneously, and long battery life make it a must-have for frequent flyers. While the initial pairing process might require some patience and there’s a slight audio lag with video, the overall convenience and performance make it a worthwhile investment for those looking to enjoy wireless audio wherever they go.

Bought because I like using my own Bluetooth headphones when I fly internationally and want to watch in flight content. It is really useful but some airlines are rolling out built in Bluetooth capability so I don’t know if it’ll continue to be useful. It works really well for what it’s meant for, I’ve never had connection issues and I’m super satisfied with it. Ive also used it to make my record player Bluetooth compatible w my soundbar until I get proper speakers. I think it would be good if the pairing was a bit more intuitive and it’s hard to tell how much battery is left in the product and when you need to charge. But otherwise it’s a great product.

After researching how to make my long international flight in economy a little less painful, this Twelve South Airfly Pro kept on popping up in reviews! Do you worry about having to use the horrible earbuds you get in economy? Well worry no more! This is a bluetooth transmitter that connects via 3.5mm jack on the back of the seat's entertainment system. Connecting the unit is really easy, and all you have to really do is turn on the unit, hold the button on the back of your airpod case, then it basically auto connects to the airpods! I was able to watch 3 movies on this flight, all with clear sound and with noise cancelling with the airpod pros. The Airfly is charged with USB-C and has a great battery life. The design is small and clean, and looks like something apple would make. Also! Was able to dual link my husbands earphones to my audio as well so we synced movies on the flight! It also comes with an nice velvet pouch for carrying. I think this is a versatile product, as you can also use this to cast audio to your headphones from your laptop or anything with a 3.5mm jack!

I love my AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro Max but could never use them on long international flights to watch in-flight movies due to the airline’s proprietary headphones. Heard about Airfly from a colleague and was so glad that I got them for a recent international trip. I got the pro model which allowed the pairing of 2 headphones as well as the ability to “send” music from the phone to the Airfly unit which then can be connected to input to a speaker or car head unit to stream music via the wired headphone style jack. The pairing took some work and wasn't as painless as I had hoped for. But in the end, I was able to pair both my AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro Max to the unit. Just have to make sure that the Bluetooth connections to the paired phones and the tablets are turned off (and it says that in the Airfly instructions also .. duh). Once paired, the unit works flawlessly. Just connected the unit via the wired headphone-style jack to the airplane's headphone out (if it is a 3-prong connector just connect to one and it works). There is no delay between the audio and video and the sound quality is superb. The battery life is rated to be 25 hours. Worked great for the 16-hour flight. The unit has a USB-C charging port which can also be used to charge the unit while it is streaming. I tried that while on the flight but it created a horrible buzzing noise. I wasn't able to recreate that at home so I am chalking that as the interference on the plane's onboard power circuit. All in all, it is a very nice and compact device that extends the ability to use your beloved wireless headphones beyond the typical Bluetooth phone/tablet connectivity. It is now a permanent addition to my travel kit!

As a frequent traveler, the quest for the perfect travel accessory can feel endless, particularly when it comes to finding solutions that bridge the gap between modern wireless technology and the often outdated in-flight entertainment systems. The Twelve South AirFly Pro Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter/Receiver emerges as a game-changer in this space, offering an elegant solution for using AirPods Pro 2 and other Bluetooth headphones with any 3.5mm audio jack. After using the AirFly Pro on multiple flights, I am thoroughly impressed by its performance, design, and the freedom it offers. Ease of Use The AirFly Pro is remarkably user-friendly, with a simple setup process that involves plugging the device into the headphone jack of an in-flight entertainment system and pairing it with your AirPods Pro 2. The pairing process is swift and intuitive, allowing you to connect up to two devices simultaneously. This feature proved invaluable on a long-haul flight where both my partner and I could enjoy the same movie without the hassle of tangled wires or subpar airline headphones. Design and Build Quality Compact and lightweight, the AirFly Pro is the epitome of travel-friendly design. Its sleek black exterior is unobtrusive and blends well with any tech setup. Despite its small size, the device feels durable and well-made, capable of withstanding the rigors of travel without issue. The inclusion of a small travel pouch is a thoughtful touch, providing a convenient way to store and protect the device when not in use. Performance The true test of any Bluetooth transmitter is its performance, particularly when it comes to maintaining a stable connection and delivering high-quality audio. The AirFly Pro excels in both areas. Throughout my flights, the connection to my AirPods Pro 2 remained flawless, with no noticeable lag or dropout. The audio quality transmitted was clear and crisp, allowing me to become fully immersed in movies and music, thus greatly enhancing my in-flight entertainment experience. Battery Life With a battery life of up to 16 hours, the AirFly Pro easily lasted through long flights, and it can be charged via USB-C, which is convenient and fast. The ability to charge it using the same cable as my laptop and phone simplifies packing and ensures the device is always ready for use. Compatibility One of the most appealing aspects of the AirFly Pro is its wide compatibility. It works not only with AirPods Pro 2 but with any Bluetooth-enabled headphones or earbuds. This versatility makes it an essential accessory not just for travel but for use at home with equipment lacking Bluetooth capability. Conclusion The Twelve South AirFly Pro is an indispensable accessory for anyone looking to use wireless headphones with in-flight entertainment systems or any device with a 3.5mm audio jack. Its ease of use, excellent performance, and broad compatibility make it a standout product. The freedom to use my Apple AirPods Pro 2 during flights, without sacrificing audio quality or dealing with cumbersome wires, has significantly improved my travel experience. The AirFly Pro is a high-quality, versatile device that I would highly recommend to any traveler or audio enthusiast looking to bridge the gap between wireless audio and wired sources.

Long story short, do not buy from this company. The product barely lasted a couple of months, and when I reached out to customer service, the experience was incredibly frustrating. They first told me to turn the product off and back on, which obviously did not fix the issue. Once they confirmed it still wasn’t working, they asked me to provide my order information, only to offer me **20% off another product**. Why would I want to spend more money on another product from a company whose product failed after only a couple of months? The product itself was also terrible. It would lose connection every couple of minutes or become extremely staticy for the entire time I was using it. I only used it on airplanes, never dropped it, and always kept it in the travel bag they provided. There was no misuse or rough handling that could explain why it stopped working. Terrible product and terrible customer service. I would not recommend this company or their products.

I saw multiple ads for this device and have looked for quite some time to get a transmitter to use with a quality sound. The Airfly Pro was easy to sync with my, IPod and my stereo system with No need for wired earbuds. The sound was clear was great to not lose a signal and now I can watch tv and listen to my stereo with my new Status Between 3 ANC.

I use this on my vintage Pioneer Stereo receiver with my new bluetooth JBL headphones and it works great! Sound quality is very good too.

Genial

Super Gerät, macht was ich erwartet habe (TX, RX nicht ausprobiert)

Very useful.

sadece şarjının hızlı gittiğini düşünüyorum o yüzden 1 puan kırdım onun dışında güzel

機械音痴の私は使い方がわからず、接続に少し苦戦しました。 子供を2人連れての旅行だったので、こちらにとても助けられました。よかったです。
