Orange Slices - 2 Pound Bulk Pack - Jelly Candy - Individually Wrapped

These orange slices were a hit! They are soft and tangy! I had a Garfield themed birthday party for my daughter and wanted orange candy these were perfect!

Anyone who knows me in real life understands I have a deep and abiding affection for the color orange. When I was looking for some special Christmas treats, I saw these on Amazon, and it brought to mind the Christmas's I enjoyed in rural Pennsylvania in the 1960's. Citrus fruit and nuts were not regularly available in our little town grocery store, but at Christmas, the shopkeeper would order in oranges from Florida. What a treat to have a real orange in my Christmas stocking!On impulse, I bought a few bags of these to leave around for my friends -- what a hit they were. Really great orange flavor, and coated with enough sugar to give you both the tart of the orange and the sweet follow-up.Although I now live in the era of fresh fruits from all over available all the time, I think I will keep these as a repeat item on my Amazon cart from henceforth

This candy taste HORRIBLE, almost like it was laced with pledge furniture polish. Product was quickly just thrown out. Each candy piece was individually wrapped, however, they all tasted about the same. NOT like your childhood favorite rainbow slice sugar candy. Product came quickly, and package closed and safe, so not seller's fault.

Tasted good. Mostly green colored ones were in the bag. Some were melted inside there packaging which was a turn off.

Very soft and sweet. Very good value.

As others have mentioned, these are very soft and jelly-like. It DOES say "Jelly" in the description!I used to love getting the thin, expensive box of fruit slices when my parents were willing to buy them! The firm texture of the "rind" was one of my favorite parts. I thought I would get this bag and enjoy them slowly since they are individually wrapped and could stay fresh much longer than an open box of candy.When I received these they were very warm and looked like many of the photos in other reviews with liquidy colored sugar inside the wrapper. I do live in Florida and they were delivered a couple hours before I brought them in. I put them in a cool spot overnight to see if they firmed up. The pieces did get a little less wiggly but the damage was already done and the sticky mess was inside the wrappers so every single one that I opened got sticky residue on my fingers and when I tried to eat them in two or three bites my lips, face or beard got the sticky treatment too. These had less flavor than I remember the others having too. It was like a hint of the flavor you would expect with a large hit of just sweetness. Maybe it has to do with us using corn syrup for everything to reduce the cost of manufacturing instead of real sugar like it used to be.These are like the much softer, less flavorful, long-lost cousins of the candy that I was hoping to get. I still made it through them waaay too fast because I love sweets but, if you are after those old-fashioned, amusement-park memory box, sugared, dryish, firm, toothsome pieces of fruit flavored goodness from yesteryear you will be disappointed but probably still get through them as I did because... SUGAR!

Absolutely the freshest I have ever bought. The fruit flavor is spot on and not over sugared. These are soft they way fruit slices should be. I will definitely be buying again.

Your supposed to get watermelon, cherry, blueberry, lemon, lime and orange. I got all lemon, lime and orange with the exception of 4 blueberry, and 3 cherry. Zero watermelon. Highly disappointed. I found this brand as an alternative to the brand I get down wildwood, but if they're not going to deliver on the variety they advertise I will not be a returning buyer. This is a great alternative in flavor and texture to my go to brand since I can only get them once in a year. I thought I finally found a brand I could buy year round. If your hoping to get a 2 pound bag with all the flavors don't bother you'll end up with only 3 flavors instead of 5, which gets boring after a while.
