ORE International 3 Tier Bookshelves - Espresso

This bookcase was easy to assemble and looks nice. However, there were several scratches on a few of the shelves. Thankfully, the scratches are on the undersides of the boards or this would have made a huge difference in the appearance. Also, the shelf wobbled a bit. I got a floor protector and put it under one of the legs and now it's stable.

I absolutely love my new Ore 3 tier bookshelf (Espresso). I have been looking for a bookshelf to display my photos. I couldn’t find one that I liked or it was either too big/small, the wrong color, or just looked cheaply made. I came across the Ore International bookshelf and I liked the description and it seemed like a good choice to go with. WOW! I was right about it. It arrived earlier than expected. I opened it & instantly loved the Espresso color (some espresso colors are too dark or even look black), but this had the tinting that matched my bedroom furniture. The directions were so easy to read and understand. It came with all the hardware needed, so no other tools were required. I got to work putting it together right away. It was so easy assembling the bookshelf (it only took me about 1/2 hour) and talk about sturdy. This is quality wood, not some cheap particle boards. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a new bookshelf. Did I mention that the price fit my budget perfectly. I’m so happy with purchase that if I ever need another piece like this, I’m ordering from this company again.

I bought two of these to go in the space under the "bar" between the kitchen and living area of my apartment. They went together super easy, each one took half an hour to finish. The only hitch I ran into is that some of the holes still had bits of wood left over in them, I'm guessing, from the punch that made them. But I just stuck the screw into each hole before I put it together to pop them all out. They are really sturdy, sturdier than I was actually expecting when I first took the pieces out of the box. The only thing keeping it from getting five stars, however, is that the shelves are a weird height compared to what I'm used to: shorter than a composition book standing up right. It can hold them on their side though, which I'm fine with. Also, it can just fit a hanging file folder and I'm hoping it will be able to fit a hanging file holder, but I don't have one yet, so I can't say if it does or not. The shelves are really more fitted for books (imagine that!), and hardcover novel sized books at that, no larger photo books or cookbooks. I really like the shelves though, I just need to rethink my furniture arrangement, seeing as I was really more intending these shelves to be for storage and not for books =/

This was just the thing for my very tight guest room. It takes only half the space between wall and bed but is deep enough to fit larger books. The finish is nice and the item itself is sturdy. It was much easier to put together with two people than with one. The upper shelf came with a long scratch but it was on the under side and not too noticeable so I kept it.

To repeat the positives from other reviews:- Very easy to assemble.- Nice to look at.I'd measured carefully to make sure this bookshelf would complement others like it, and it is indeed the exact size as advertised. However, I and apparently the manufacturer, didn't spend enough time figuring out the distance between shelves. Given the bottom shelf's surface is 4" off the floor, my calculations on what books would actually fit between the fixed-distance shelves was a bit off. Standard sized hardback books, 9.5" high, will have a tough time fitting in the lowest shelf - it is a snug fit. The top shelf fits with just a little gap, but not enough for anything even .25" higher. And you'll be hard-pressed to find most of any hardback collection fitting into the middle shelf.My solution was to move all my Stephen King books into the unit, Dark Tower and related titles in the first shelf, smaller volumes like On Writing or Eye of the Dragon on the middle, and the rest on the bottom shelf. Boxed sets had no chance of fitting inside at all, but the work fine on top.My rating is basically a three because as a general purpose book shelf, for someone who might want to maintain an alphabetical order of hardbacks, this will simply not work. But if you go into this purchase knowing your use will work under these constraints, it's a very good purchase.

Looked for bookshelves on Amazon because I didn't want to have to pay a big store a delivery fee or buy assembled/unassembled bookshelves in a store and have to worry about getting them into my car or carrying them up the stairs into my home by myself. Didn't want shelves too tall for this space and I wanted to make the most out of the space so was looking for bookshelves with a top that you could display things on. Found these bookshelves online, read good reviews and I ordered them on a Thursday night or Friday morning via Amazon Prime to be delivered on Saturday morning. Arrived first thing Saturday morning at my door. Took the pieces out of the box - let the pieces air out on the balcony a few hours (though I hadn't noticed any significant varnish smell I took note of what others had said in their reviews) and then set out to assemble the bookshelves. Didn't know it would be so quick and easy to assemble even for a novice like myself. No tools of your own are required - everything you need is in the box. I wasn't even trying to rush - and would say it took me all of a half hour to put together. Looks beautiful. Just the right size for the space. Perhaps a tad bit pricey for the size and the fact that it's not made out of expensive wood (I don't even know what "rubberwood" is) - however it actually looks like expensive wood. All in all I think it's a great product, and I would highly recommend it.
