100% recommend!
Love these books! My 1st grader is really into math and we found the 1st grade material to be too easy. It might be because she just loves doing math, but I posted a couple photos around page 30. She loves doing the work but completed up to page 30 in 2 days. So I’m going to just buy the 2nd grade material because she loves these books so much! I can see why. They make learning so fun and completely tie in Star Wars into simple math facts! We love these!

Great motivation for learning!
We actually have all the Kindergarten and 1st grade books at our house. My eldest son is going into the second grade, but I wanted to keep him fresh during the summer months. This was a great review for him. The start of the book was pretty basic for him, but it was still good for him to remember all those terms that he will be using in class soon. My youngest is going into Kindergarten, and he was able to do a lot of the Kindergarten aged books. When they started getting into writing whole sentences, he did struggle a little. My boys love Star Wars, so this was a great series that motivated my boys to want to work. My youngest wanted to do his "work" off and on all day. If you are not a Star Wars fan, you may have a few issues with name pronunciations and fill in the blanks. Other than that, this is a great series of workbooks.

Loved Em!
I'm a nanny and I bought these for my three 5 year old students. All 3 boys love Star Wars and these were perfect. The range of activities were good because it was able to compliment all of their learning stiles and levels. It was challenging for the last advanced student without being to hard and still not boring for the most advanced student. The theme absolutely kept all three boys engaged and having fun with their learning.

Very inviting to children, good as a supplement not as initial introduction
My son has just finished first grade and at his school they actually do math one grade up. I could tell he was struggling wi some of the addition facts and so I ordered this book as a fun thing to do this summer. The Good: This is a very inviting way to present the material to children. My son was very eager to get started on it and math is not always his favorite subject. In fact I had planned to do a page or two each day and on his first day he finished 25 pages. It took him a good amount of time and wasn't overly easy but you could tell some of the pictures were making the concepts click for him. He was also having a lot of fun with it.The bad: Once you hit about page 36 you jump in skill level to 30 addition facts of a wide variety (doubles, doubles plus ones, oddball facts, etc). This continues for quite a few pages. There really isn't a good segue into this and they don't cover each different set of addition topics previously. For my son he was able to finish but again, he is already done with first grade and in fact a 2nd grade level in math. I'm not sure such a jump in subject matter would be good for an entering first grader unless they've mastered all their math facts already.Overall if you are using this as a supplement I think it's really great. I personally wouldn't use it to introduce new concepts but rather to enhance the teaching of them. I will definitely buy more of these.

MY FIRST GRADER IS HAPPY WITH IT.
I bought this for a first grader who will need to practice all the way thru the summer this year due to the pandemic. And the work needs to be fun and exciting and the books have to be pretty sturdy. This one fits the bill. The work is appropriate for the age and grade and the layout makes him want to get it done. This was a good purchase.

This whole line is awesome!
This whole line is a godsend. We homeschool our 6yo. All I have to do is lay out his work for the day and most days he will have it done before I'm even awake - he knows when it's done we can do fun science projects or go out and about. He is such an eager learner and a fan of this franchise that it isn't "homework." We have had parts of the series after we purchased them at a comic con a week after they were released. He can blow through the majority of common core standards for 1st grade and is really pushing through 2nd grade. It's made my life easier. We even donated some to a teacher friends classroom and she hasn't stopped raving about them.Only complaint I wish there were more, more topics more exercises, more everything.I would recommend if you are homeschooling or just practicing with your little learner make a digital copy of the blank page because my guy has wanted to do them multiple times if he didn't get everything perfect.

Great Motivator
I bought all the 1st and 2nd grade books for my son, he had a very, very bad year in kindergarten and now getting him motivated to do any kind of learning is very difficult. However, these books are easy for him to read and understand, he only needs a little guidance sometimes. He loves that they are Star Wars characters, and I love that he asks me if he can do his workbooks. I also took his book one step further and ripped the pages out and put them into page protectors and a 3 ring binder so that he can do the pages over and over, and I can use them for my other kids when they are ready to.

MY SON LOVED THIS BOOK
I bought this over the summer for my 7yr old son who's dyslexic and being retained in 1st grade. I was looking for some fun books so that he wouldn't fall behind during the summer while we were stuck in quarantine. He would specifically request to work in this book out of the whole crate of activity books I purchased over the last year. He is a HUGE StarWars fan and he loved it. He was actually really sad when it was finished so we purchased the reading version too lol. We also purchased a Minecraft book he loves as well so if you're looking for great activity books in that age range check the Minecraft book out too!

Bought for my Grade 1 six year old son who loves Star Wars but could use some extra practice in math. He loves this book. It’s been a big help for him and has boosted his confidence and skill level. Book is well illustrated and constructed. Highly recommend

Very useful
My son loves Star Wars and have no interest in Maths. Now he take the book without me saying anything and works in the exercises with interest, passion and he really loves it! He want me to buy the others right now, but first we finish this one and then we will purchase the others for sure.

Fabulous for keeping kids interested in math. My son loves these workbooks. They have been a huge help. My daughter even requested I order her some because they are so fun. Makes remedial math work seem like fun. I would definitely recommend
