Sony DSX-B700 Media Receiver with Bluetooth Technology

I like this Sony radio so much that I have 2 of them. One in my truck and one in our Honda. Good price for a solid double din. I only 7se bluetooth so all I needed was something simple. It automatically connects to my phone when I get in the vehicle. Has enough power for me. Volume is good but I am old so there's that. I have been installing stereos since I was a teen so this was no challenge to install. Microphone for calls works great. Simple ram the wire under dash and came up behind the trim on the pillar and out to the Visor where it is attached. Separate volume can be set for calls than the volume the music is playing at. Overall a great unit at a great price

Amazing head unit for the price.

It looks cool in the dash. Being able to change colors is nice. What would be great is if there were separate high pass filters for front and rear channels. And I didn't get enough voltage from the subwoofer outputs to run my sub amp. I had to use the high level signal coming from my amp, but that wasn't a big deal. The screen is a little hard to read during the day with sunglasses on. Sounds good I guess, no complaints. I like it.

Great sound and great value. My only complaint is that the area above the 6 preset buttons is not backlit. At night you cannot see the secondary function of those preset buttons - play, pause, >>, << etc. That is my only complaint. Otherwise very happy with power, sound quality, connections, Bluetooth, USB, tuner all are excellent. Would recommend.

I need it to replace the other same kind.

My 2 favorite features of this unit are not well advertised. Sound sync. I selected for my units lights to stay red. When music is playing with sound sync on, the red lighting dims in and out to the beat of the music. Auto-dim. You can set the time of the day the unit dims and a separate time when it undims, so if you like a blinding brightness level during the day, it will automatically dim for you around nighttime.To anyone with brightness concerns, forget that. Just make sure the first thing you do is adjust the settings, as it does not initially default to a max brightness level. Lastly, I know better about that mic that comes in the box. Forget that thing. It is not some magical superior sony mic. Order alongside it another one on Amazon that has the little foam piece. This one doesn't have it. It helps your caller on the other end hear you better. Call clarity is top quality on both ends.

The stereo is solid, it sounds good, but there is little room to equipment the system.The app Sony provides to equipment doesn't work on Android and looks like it never willI have a 12" subwoofer, and the head unit will not allow me to turn off the LPF or go lower than 80 so I can do my adjustments on the amplifier.Not being able to set the LPF lower than 80, or higher than 120 has me thinking about getting a different unit. I consider this unit a waste of money, go get a Kenwood

This is bluetooth or usb operated so no fumbling with cds anymore, i just run it on my phone. And the sound is amazing, sony never disappoints ever when it comes to awesome sound. Im enjoying it. Thanks. Update: This device is wonderful, i am still enjoying it to the fullest. Sound cannot be more awesome than a Sony product, they are topps in my book.
