The MidwayUSA Heavy Duty Shotgun Case is a heavy-duty solution for anyone looking for a shotgun case. These cases have been engineered with an internal, adjustable retention straps to provide exceptional protection for shotguns. These cases are constructed with an advanced dual density bonded padding system that provides superior impact protection compared to basic foam used in other cases. The heavy duty padding is .8"; thick on both sides to protect your rifle and optics investment from rough handling in storage or travel. Other enhanced durability features include heavy duty, 600D high-abrasion resistant ballistic fabric construction, and oversized self repairing coil zippers with sewn pull tabs. Lay flat construction allows this case to stay open on the shooting bench for ease removing your shotgun, or as a padded surface to lay the gun on during breaks in the action. The fully wrapped webbing handles, reinforced seam stitching, metal hardware, adjustable shoulder strap and snag-proof 600 Denier lining fabric make the MidwayUSA Heavy Duty Shotgun Case an excellent choice for transporting your shotguns. Fit: Measure the full length of your rifle or shotgun from butt to muzzle, then choose the size that is a minimum of 3"; longer than your rifle or shotgun; i.e., 49"; = 52” Case, 47"; = 50"; Case, 45"; = 48"; Case. Note: All gun cases are designed primarily for transportation and not for long term storage. Long term storage of a firearm in any case may result in corrosion and damage to the firearm finish.

Good Case, Needs Padding at Barrel Tip
This is a nice case, long enough for my long-barreled shotguns. It's heavily padded, a little bulky. It's designed with internal straps to hold a gun in place. These straps can get in the way when trying to just insert a gun from the butt end of the case without opening it up all the way. To me, the main problem is that there is no padding to protect the end of the barrel. If you stand the case on the barrel end and slide/drop a gun into it from above, the gun barrel is going to bang into the floor. I taped some stiff foam in place to remedy the problem, but most cases usually have some kind of stop. This is probably not a issue if you fully open the case and securely strap the gun in.

Very nice case. Quality for a good price.
The quality here is on par with cases that cost twice as much. I own just about the biggest, heaviest shotgun ever made. Ithaca Mag-10. It is 54 inches long and about 12 and a half pounds. This case handles it, and makes lugging it around easy.

Great quality!!
Im very happy with this shotgun case. Great quality and its plenty long for even the longest shotgun. I bought it to hold a collectable rifle but its tough enough for anything you have in mind.
