I purchased 2 of these. One in premie and one in newborn. My baby girl has not arrived yet, I plan for this to be her coming home outfit. I first ordered the newborn size. When I received it the sizing appeared to be too large for a newborn baby. The width of the midsection is very wide. So I decided to order one in premie sizing. I washed and dried the newborn outfit and discovered that it had shrunk considerably. Upon receiving the premie size without washing and drying it, the two were almost identical in sizing. My daughter is due in November, and I plan on bringing both outfits to the hospital to see what will fit her best. Regardless, the quality of the material and the embroidery are great. There is an interfacing behind the embroidery as not to irritate babies sensitive skin. I look forward to dressing my new baby girl in her first outfit!
