13oz Gallo Italian Dry Salami Chub #1 Selling Family Size

I think what makes or breaks this product is the temp outside when it's delivered. And yes other reviews placed well before this one also mention that. I should have listened, but didn't.I absolutely love this brand of salami. In fact it's the only brand I'll buy anymore. The flavor, consistency, everything about it is perfect and I've never had another brand that even came close.It was supposed to be cooled off here (I assumed for the year) when I ordered but the weather forecast thing changed the very next day. Was in the mail truck for one full day at near-90 F heat. Got it around 9AM the next morning so not that bad all in all. But it definitely did detract.It sat in the fridge all day after it got here. I finally opened in around 10 hours later, to find it was a little soft, and fat had leaked out all over it. Still 2 months to expiration so I figured I wouldn't die by tasting it a little, so cut some pieces off. This chub did not have the white wrapper, which I very much miss. Was a little difficult to cut, being soft, and the chunks of fat in it kept getting stuck on the knife with the end result of every cut piece being covered in chunks of fat. Some of you may not mind that but I really don't like fat, so, eh. I gotta say though, it tasted fine, if a little soft. The taste honestly makes up for almost everything. Just, next time I'm definitely waiting for winter to have it shipped.

Can’t find this in any store anymore. Got this from Amazon. Dry Salami used to come with paper wrapped product, that you had to peel away. This had none and had a slimy cover. All gone, didn’t kill us????

I'm from California (30 yrs ago) and Gallo salami was the "go-to" for my Mom and it's my go-to as well. It's the 5 Star Salami.

This was a gift for a friends grandson. Apparently, he loved it. I had to buy 2 to give the quantity the kid wanted which was very expensive but its not available in his area so they asked me to use Amazon which always comes trough

Amazon helped me and refunded the purchase price. The weight of the scissors only pushed a 1/8 into package while lying on it. Normally this is super. I got the dud.

This is not Gallo Dry Salami. All Gallo Dry Salami has a casing covered in a white bloom. The product received does not. The Sellers description states that you must peel the product prior to consuming which would indicate the product is correct. The product arrived in a bloated plastic package. Dry salami is not packaged in plastic. I don't trust the product as it is not as described.

Everyone is complaining about the white coating but it still taste the same I was born in California and we moved away when I was 11 and I now Live in Oklahoma been here for almost 30 years we don’t have gallo salami here so when I go visit my family in California the first thing I do is go looking for gallo salami it still reminds me of my childhood.

Its amazing and will definitely order again. Im from california moved to oklahoma can't get gallo salami here. I give them a 5 star and great communication. Will be buying my entire family salami from this company for Christmas.
