This Wenko Standing aid or Perching stool is proving to be a boon when I need to bein the kitchen. I have intense pain if I stand longer than 10 minutes or so and thenI have to sit down to ease the pain.The seat is adjustable to various heights, and whether cooking or washing up I canlift this relatively light aid and simply sit at the required height, thus reducing thepain.The seat is small so it is not meant for sitting down for long periods, but just forenough time to perch as you do your kitchen chores. It comes with an InstructionSheet.Made from tubular steel and with a back rest, I find it easy to use and then it foldsaway afterwards. It is about 4 inches thick when folded and takes up little space.I would recommend it for those who have hip or leg pain when standing but stillneed to be independent. It certainly helps this old guy in his 70's to cope with anArthritic hip and Neuropathy in the leg. I consider it money well spent.

The back support is marvellous, just lands in the right spot. Unfortunately my son moved it and the back part came off, managed to get it on but wasn't enamoured by this. Apart from that you can move the seat where required for the individual. This process I asked my son to do as it was quite a fiddly procedure. It is very comfortable, I use it in the kitchen as I find it hard to stand and this is a godsend for that, far more comfortable than a dining room chair because of the height.

This sitting/perching stool is perfect. Folds flat therefore easy to store away. Comfortable and very well made, with a 10 year guarantee. It's very reasonably priced too. I have sciatica and this makes doing the ironing and preparing food much less painful as the pressure is off my hip.

Well made, strong, a couple of things to note: For those who say they 'can't sit on it as the seat is at the wrong angle', read the description, it is a perching chair, not a conventional stool! For those that say 'there were no instructions', look under the padded seat, it is all there! Overall a nice perching stool, ideal for the job, well made, strong and a good fair price for what you get. Thank you, very pleased, ideal for when I am observing with my telescopes.

I have just received and though delivery has been swift and contruction appears ok I would point out that if you are disabled you will find unpacking and adjusting seat extremely difficult.Firstly chair comes shrink wrapped in thick plastic which I had with some difficulty to cut off.There are no proper instructions on how to adjust seat height except to unscrew screw set and adjust height. This I finally worked out entailes unscrewing black covers removing the bar that runs through from one side to tbe other . The seat fitting was then extremely difficult to move I had to lubricate edges with WD40 and even more difficult to reinstate at required height.You could not do this alone if you say have arthritis in your hands as I do .Also despite asking and being told it does it not move on laminate flooring it does.We choose this product after research and questioning . Answers said adjustment was easy which it was not and that it did not slide on laminate which it does .As we were looking for something my husband could use at worktop and myself at ironing board ease of adjustment was important as we have limited space so two stools is not an option .We have laminate floors and safety was paramount so non movement is importantIn the intetrest of fairness I will try this with some ironing now but I very much believe we will be returning this.

solid, sturdy, comfortable enough for it's purpose, easy to adjust.Could be a little heavy for some people but the weight gives it a reassuring solidity. Easy to adjust seat height and perfect for perching on with the back rest for relief if needing to sit up straight for a while.Folds flat, easy to store, n o complaints.

My wife finds standing difficult when ironing and cooking. However, with this purching stool she now has a more comfortable time. Some reviewers have stated that the stool is not slip resistant on laminate. This is true as the feet are essentially plastic rather than rubber. As we have laminate throughout the home I resolved this by removing the existing feet and purchasing new heavy duty rubber feet. The stool is now solid on laminate and does not move an inch when purching. For those who purchase this item, I would suggest adding replacement feet to your order - I recommend the Merriway heavy duty rubber ferrules as they are excellent. Be aware however, the frames are different sizes, so you would need to order 22mm and 25mm ferrules. Existing ferrules are slightly difficult to remove, but slitting them with a box cutter (stanley knife) first and then levering them off with a small screwdriver was the best way I found to remove them. Putting the new ferrules on was a piece of cake, just remember to tap them on firmly. Overall the stool is sturdy and reasonably comfortable for short periods, but this is what it is intended for, so highly recommended if used correctly and, of course, if the ferrules are replaced for use on laminate.

This perching stool is brilliant! Honestly, it's great!I have used it to help me to be able to do the washing up at a standard height sink and for me to rest on when doing the ironing. I cannot stand for any length of time to do the ironing in the normal way.It is adjustable for the height of the seat you need and is easy to put up and down. It's a fairly light seat that someone who uses a crutch for balance can still manage to use.It's easy to wipe clean and folds virtually flat, so can stand behind the ironing board when not in use.All in all I think it's a wonderful device that has made my life way better. I am so glad I got it!
