Great stuff

J wished that I had used this before trying to polish my headlights after sanding off the ancient clear coat. I use it on my mom’s far less cloudy ones and the results were amazing. The road was a bit brighter! The process is so painless that I wouldn’t have melted my headlights with a buffer that was awkward whilst trying to not mess with the paint. I will however be using this on my real cloudy fog lights. It is essentially apply/bluff with not a lot of elbow grease to polish/wipe off the residual. A little bit goes a long way (I just pot that song in my head!).

This Really Works When You Apply It Correctly

I used to do professional headlight restoration a few years ago. That entails sanding off the old clearcoat, sanding away the scratches and finally wet-sanding the headlights before applying a clearcoat finish. If you read the instructions on the back or watch YT videos the common mistake is to apply the product onto the headlights by hand and you clean them by applying pressure in a circular motion. Nope, that's NOT going to cut it unless your headlights are mildly hazed. This product is basically a very light rubbing compound + polishing agent. To get them to really look great is to apply the product either onto the headlight area or a circular pad that goes onto a drill with at least 1800 rpm's. If you apply it directly onto the headlight, once you fire up the drill, the product will splatter outwards. That's why it's best to put the product onto the pad and make small splotches on the headlight, that way you reduce the splatter. (The foam circular pads with drill chuck is sold here on Amazon).First wipe the headlights with a clean damp cloth before you start. Apply some downward pressure while constantly moving the drill and circular pad in even motion. Stop, wipe the lens with a clean damp cloth again and repeat the process until you get the desired results. Keep in mind, this is not a sealant so the headlights will haze up over time. If you want them to last longer you'll need a kit that has a clearcoat finish that you put on top.

Good but not perfect

Wife’s 2013 RAV 4 had hazing and fine spiderweb haze (no yellowing) on both headlight lens. The drill attachment makes things easier for sanding and polishing the lens. But….I had to hand wet sand using 2000 grit paper to remove some of the hazing, the drill discs just didn’t quite do the complete job. . The polish in the kit is ok, but I ended up polishing with Meguiars Plast X to really finish off the job. Plast X polish has a nice smell and really made the surface smooth and clear. The lens sealant with kit worked well, easy to apply and the lens both look new now. So overall, a good kit but be ready to adapt and modify as needed. Job time from masking to clean up for two headlights was 2.5 hours

Not so bad

It worked a bit. Didn’t perform the clarity I expected but it took some of the dull out of the lights after excessive scrubbing

Great for a totally different purpose — hazy eyeglass frames!

If you’re an eyeglass wearer, and if the plastic frames that you loved have developed an unsightly whitish haze on the temples and nose bridge (if not elsewhere as well), this stuff is the ONLY cleaning agent I’ve ever found that removes that haze and restores the frames to their original clarity. (There’s a good Youtube video on how to do it). Like magic, I was able to bring a $350 pair of frames back to life and looking as good as new! (Photos are before and after).

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I was worried my car might be too old and my headlights too yellowed for this to really be effective. I was amazed with the results! The kit was easy to use and did what it says it will do. You need a power drill, spray bottle, and some blue painters tape to tape around the headlight so you don't mar the paint or trim. Just buff each headlight using the three progressively finer sanding pads, then finish with the polishing compound and protectant. The whole process took me about an hour, and I was probably a lot more thorough than I needed to be.As my pictures show, my headlights went from very cloudy to clear and sharp! What's even better, my headlights are noticeably brighter at night.

Worked as advertised

This product worked as advertised, and the price is reasonable. The headlight housing looks so much clearer. If I had planned better, I could have used the product on my other car. Admittedly, the sanding takes a lot of effort, and I simply wanted to get through it as fast as possible. However, if you want to stretch your money and make the most of your money, you can use this product on two vehicles.

Works, but….

Well, it did lessen the oxidation of the headlight. But not completely. Might be my technique or the headlight material itself.
