Purchased as a gift for an owner of a BMW 2002. This owner had their car rebuilt in many ways. They said the book had many facts they were not aware of.

The 2002 appeared in 1968 and was built through 1976. How much new could be written about this old car? As it turns out, quite a lot. The author, with access to BMW Board meeting minutes and other archival information, has uncovered a lot about the origins of this seminal BMW model. She refutes some of the long-held myths and gives us the real story. Highly recommended for those interested in the '02.

BMW 2002 is iconic car for many BMW fans but car development history details were surprisingly hard to find. Not anymore! Thanks to Jackie Jouret’s extensive research and phenomenal knowledge of BMW history, now we can learn most interesting facts about BMW 2002 creation and development from this book. I hope Jackie would continue tradition and publish more books about BMW cars history. Highly recommended to everyone who like cars, BMW and 2002!

Excellently researched, documented and presented. Author is a well established - and knowledgable - BMW enthusiast. Chock full of background and historical information that puts factual information in print for us all. Whether the reader is just curious or is a 2002 lover this book will answer any questions one may have. For sure, it hold a place in my personal research library.

Attempts to dispel a lot of folklore around the development of the 2002, particularly around Hoffman - main point of the book. Decent read, but disappointed in the lack of very many "exclusive" images, and none are in color, which was not disclosed in the product description.

It is the real story. As an '02 owner, I can verify this is well written and true to the Marque.
