The dogs rarely get fleas but when they do this does the trick!

We have a rescue dog named Yen. She's a chow chow / husky mix and when we got her she was in terrible shape. She had been in an abusive environment where she was kept in a cage too small for her and was never brushed, bathed and rarely fed.She had so my ticks and fleas that her fur was falling off. Her skin looked black from the bodies of all the parasites on her. I'm not going to lie, I threw up when I saw her. We ordered this to help her.First washing: 70% of the ticks and fleas were off her. The ticks made a little black river from their dead corpses washing away. So we waited a week and during this time we noticed more and more ticks were dying and falling off. Week 2: We bathed her again. After this washing we could only find two or three ticks that lived. We pulled those off and waited a few days to see what would happen.We kept an eye on her for the next few weeks. We treated yen with Frontline tick and flea killer and Yen has been flea free for weeks now! Her fur is back, her skin is pink and she is much happier. This is a powerful shampoo and it probably saved Yen's life. We use it once a month and it seems to be enough to keep nasty bugs off her.

Hartz is a brand i trust so very happy with the purchase and glad the plastic didnt crack as arrived in an envelope, not good for liquids but was well protected but not completely sealed.

I used this years ago on my collies fleas & worked Great! But I tried to use for mites on my German Shepherds recently & made the itching So Much WORSE! It’s awful, the dogs are Miserable! Do NOT recommend if u think or know they have tiny black or red mites. If anyone knows what really works to kill mites on dogs please let me know! Thank u!

What can I say, it just works! I gave my pitbull a bath about 10 days ago and he still smells fresh and clean. Usually, after a few days he's back to smelling like a typical dog. As far as the flea/tick protection, he's definitely scratching less since I used the Hartz shampoo on him. I'll be able to confirm that it's the shampoo that is reducing the scratching in time. However, even if you buy this strictly to bath your dog, I would definitely buy it again. Great stuff!
