It works as expected
The unit is used as part of our daily equipment as professional land surveyors. Rolatape is known as a high quality measuring device and our unit does not disappoint.

Great for repetitive marking
This is my preferred measuring wheel. Really durable. I work on roadways, highways parking lots and often use it for repetitive marking like every 12 foot for lane striping lines. What’s great about it is it has an automatic spring loaded anti reverse brake, so it makes this task so much quicker. Also I feel safer looking at traffic and just counting the 1ft clicks till I get to 12ft and mark. Do yourself a favor and use the built in stand bracket to mark out inches by adjusting it 90 degrees to the vertical bar and using a paint marker pen to mark your inches out.I’ve used this same wheel for over 3 decades.It used to be produced with a strong steel metal brake.The draw back to the redesign of this wheel is the brake is now made of inferior soft metal and wears out quickly.I will be epoxying steel key stock to the brake to see if it will correct the flaw.

You can never go wrong with a Rolotape!

Not the junk you get from box stores
My construction company has been using ROLATAPE products for decades. These are the most durable and accurate rolling tapes that you can buy. Great product! U won't find any plastic on this one. All steel heavy construction.
