OXO Good Grips GreenSaver Produce Keeper - Large,White,Green

I was so tired of throwing out fresh produce every week! I could feel my wallet burning every time I went to eat some fruit or veggies from the fridge, only to find mold after just a couple days. I scoured the Internet and tried many produce keeper products. I even contemplated buying a freeze dryer but that was a little extreme and out of my price range. Then, I found this - the OXO Good Grips GreenSaver Produce Keeper. I don’t know if the secret is the carbon filter, the basket insert that keeps the produce away from the container walls, or the ventilation system. It’s probably all three. My produce lasts 3x as long now. My wallet and my tummy thanks me every time I grab some produce now. Bonus: it’s BPA free and the carbon filter lasts 90 days! Stop throwing money in the trash and try this! You won’t be disappointed.

It works as advertised. I no longer have mushy, spoiled herbs after several days.I have the 1.8 quart, which barely contains the parsley I bought at the supermarket. You might want to get a larger size.

Good size for keeping large/lots of veggies. Stackable convenience. Despite claims that it is dishwasher-safe, it is not. Mine deformed even when placed in top rack with shorter cycle and sanitize off. Oxo was very good to deal with but I will only hand wash.

My cilantro has lasted like 3 weeks! Just change the water every couple of days and don't use a lot of water.

I just started to grow microgreens and found this box to store my harvests between sandwiches. This storage box kept my delicate arugula and komatsuna fresh for nine days. That was the time it took for me to eat all my harvest. It really works: no wilting or rotting just perfect greens. It only comes with one charcoal filter, that lasts 90 days.

We have the small one and the larger version. Both work okay, stuff keeps longer than it would bagged or sealed up. That said - the lid design is *terrible*. It slides off very easily. We need to use a rubber band to keep it on.

This is my second OXO produce keeper. This one is the long one, holding more than my first one. I wondered if it would be awkward to handle. It is excellent as far as I'm concerned.I especially like this long, larger one. A large grocery-store container of greens can be stored loosely in this one.I read a couple reviews saying the top wouldn't stay on, not clasped tight. The top stays on just fine, the same as my other OXO that I've been using for a couple of years.These work perfectly for keeping produce that needs high, or low, humidity by using the slide top open or closed. On the back side of that slide are pictures showing the proper humidity for various fruits & veggies Under that slide there's an activated carbon packet that really does help extend the produce's fresh life!I haven't lost any produce since using these OXO containers. They are great!

It's not like OXO to design a product with poor usability, but I can't wrap my head around this one. The lid simply does not attach to the container. Perhaps there's some reason for this... maybe to help with the freshness or the absorption packet, but it just isn't very practical.Our refrigerator is plenty chaotic and the last thing I need is a box of blueberries tipping over and spilling all over the place. This container and the gas absorption tech is probably great at keeping produce fresh, but I really just can't use it because of the non-closing lid.I've returned it and I'll just go with a standard container+basket with a lid that actually locks. I'll miss out on the freshness tech that OXO is probably better with, but at least the lid will stay put!
