Great all-around shears
Despite the many negative reviews, I have had three pairs of these and have ended up giving two of them away because people like them so well they didn't want to wait to order their own. I find the biggest problem people have with the misfit they say it's hard to open them when they're locked, they need to squeeze the handles together and that lab practically Falls open it's really easy. And remember that it's a straight edge so it doesn't always cut round its things easily it's meant to cut straight edges. I use it to cut branches on trees that are at least a quarter inch thick or more oh, I use it for 10 for a felt for one pair for wool ( I try to keep one pair for Fabrics, and one for metals - just like you would regular scissors) . I would not be without a pair of these they are really good the well-built my first pair I still own and you're probably 25 years old or more and they get used frequently. So I would recommend at least getting them and trying them oh, and remember when you're opening the lock you need to squeeze the handles together and then they decide to pop right open. That's the biggest complaint by sound from people.

GREAT Scissors!!
I absolutely love these scissors! They are my go to for opening packaging, cutting cardboard, and getting through most things that are just too much for regular scissors. Please note, these are not wire cutters or tin snips. I wouldn’t use them on any metal except for maybe very, very thin wire. I got these for Christmas about ten years ago and love them so much we had to get a second pair for my spouse.

Best sizzors ever.
I cut tin, aluminum Cardboard 1/2" drywall plastic packages etc. These Scissors cut everything and they stay sharp.Only had to slightly tighten the screw after over a year of use.

Great heavy duty scissors!
I like to call these my garage scissors, but I keep them in the kitchen for heavier duty tasks, suck as cutting cardboard, or plastic packaging. They are definitely not as heavy duty as snips, but are the perfect in between scissors for tasks requiring a less delicate tool than your standard office scissors.

Great heavy duty scissors.
I really like these heavy duty scissors. I buy zippers by the yard and this does the job of cutting them nicely. I don’t have to use my sewing scissors.

Good Shears - Take a Little Extra Effort To Use
The first thing I noticed was that the blades are not very sharp. But they do cut cleanly. I tested it on plastic clam shell packaging & the plastic paper-type material the package came in. it has no problem cutting through things; it just takes a bit more effort, probably due to one blade being serrated. At first, I thought, "Who needs a serrated blade on shears?" But after testing them, I realized that the serrated blade grips the item & prevents it from slipping forward as you squeeze the handles. The shears do not operate very smoothly or quietly, but that's not as important as how they cut. And the latch that keeps the shears closed is difficult to operate, but I imagine it will smooth out with use & some lube on the pivot points.

Stays sharp, doesn’t rust
I have some cheaper Fiskars shears and in my humid tropical environment they rust. These, however, are as shiny as new after about 5 months of use, and they are still nice and sharp. They even cut light landscape fabric that jams in other scissors. Worth every penny.

Great all around light/medium duty shears
Love these. We mostly use them as general purpose garden clippers in our vegetable gardens. Had two of them that lasted for a decade or more and just bought two more. Use them to cut all sorts of other stuff too. Light gauge wire, twine, tomato ties, heavy plastic sheeting, zip ties, all sorts of vegetation up to about 3/8” diameter, and plenty of other stuff. I always put them in my pocket when I walk out to the garden. Highly recommend!
