The best...heirloom quality tweezer
Country of origin: SwitzerlandTotal purchase price: 25.99We had Sephora tweezer for many years but over the years it took a beating. The tip was bent and wouldn't grip those pesky unwanted hair well...After enduring many years of pain and frustration, we finally decided to spurge and order this beauty.Well, it sure was money well spent for us.Pros:Again, it's Swiss made, practically guaranteed to be least toxic. It grips all hairs ( wet, fine, short or all of the above) very VERY well.It has an excellent build quality.I still have the German made Sephora tweezer (which is relegated to hobby and handy duty now..) but the Swiss is built even better then German steel with thicker metal body and longer precisely honed laser sharp tip. It's really built like medical instrument.Unlike the product photo here, the Rubis I got is bare metal finish which I prefer.( I will post my own comparison photo soon.)Cons:Maybe the price, but this is what we pay now for non toxic quality product. All in all, this is not cheap by any definition but worth every penny to me. This would make great gift.I highly recommend this product. It's five star is well deserved

Excellent tweezers
I’m an esthetician/waxer and I absolutely have to have excellent tools. These tweezers are precise & perfect. They get every hair course or thin. I purchased these in June 2023, it’s almost January 2024 and just before Christmas I noticed them beginning to dull. When not in use I store them with the cap on in a hard manicure type case. Now, these tweezers get constant use and they are still very much useable. I’m ordering a second pair because I love them & I feel better having a back up set. They are worth the money.

With great tweezer comes great tweezponsibility.
This is an amazing tweezer. The metal is thinner than many tweezers, and the springing action less stiff, making operation very nimble. The head is very thin and sharp, allowing one to grab at challenging hairs with little effort. However, I have found that I also accidentally tweeze my skin fairly often compared to lesser tweezers, and as the tips are sharp and pointy, you are going to want to be mindful and careful while tweezing. The fit and finish of mine is quite excellent, but I did not get the product I ordered (the picture shows plain steel, described as 'Sand Blasting is what gives these Stainless Steel tweezers their pewter like finish,' I got a red (presumably baked enamel?) finished pair - this is the fault of the seller (ToysNGamesEtc) and not the product, and is not reflected in my review other than to explain said discrepancy). The finish on mine is confidence-inspiring, though, and I would trust the various other finishes that these are offered in. In all regards, it is really a confidence-inspiring product, and if you can justify shelling out thirty bucks or so on tweezers, these really feel worth it. Using them feels almost transparent, more like an extension of the body, vs heavier, stiffer tweezers that are a constant reminder that you're handling a tool. Just don't get overzealous or you will nip your skin!

Best tweezers I've owned and I've tried sooooo many
These are the only tweezers that can keep me from being the bearded lady at a sideshow. Works great on course to fine hair. Warning - keep plastic tip covers on tweezers. If they get dropped and land on a hard service point down you will need to send them in to have them honed or buy a new pair. I learned the hard way, but loved them so much I bought another pair. I'm sending the old ones in to be honed and will have some for my travel bag. These are worth the money.

NO WARRANTY makes Rubis a NO GO.
SHORT VERSION: Picks up fine hairs well when brand new, but comes out of alignment easily (read: becomes functionally the same as a dime store tweezer) and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY offered by the company. When they go bad past the period where you are protected by Amazon's return policy, your only option is to throw them out.FULL REVIEWIf you've read the other reviews, chances are you know that the two big players in the high end tweezer market are Rubis and Tweezerman.I own several pairs of each. Both brands do a much better job of grasping fine hairs than the generic or even beauty product branded tweezers found at pharmacies, big box stores and supermarkets. This is because instead of being taken from a poured mold and packaged for sale, these brands are first ground in a process similar to knife sharpening. The goal is to provide perfect edges to the jaws without little spaces for hairs to slip through. As I said, both brands are good when new. For the finest hairs, I'd probably give the slight edge to a brand new pair of Rubis out of the box. Without question, Tweezerman has the edge with regard to both to durability, and customer service if something does go wrong (and with Rubis, it will!).The fatal flaw inherent in Rubis Tweezers is they come out of alignment if you look at them wrong. When this happens, they are no more effective than $3.99 dime store tweezers. Chances are that the bad reviews you see here describing Rubis tweezers that are not grasping small hairs were written by owners of tweezers that have come out of alignment in shipping.Of the four pairs of Rubis Tweezers I have purchased from Amazon over the past three years, TWO have gone bad. The first time it happened, it was within 30 days--great Amazon customer service got me a quick replacement.A second pair went bad a month ago, so I visited the Rubis Web site and clicked on "customer service." Strangely enough, no warranty/repair policy is described. I sent an e-mail regarding repair, and a few days later, received an e-mail from someone's personal AOL account (how professional) stating "we do not offer that service." When I followed up asking what warranty is offered, the response was "we guarantee that every unit is inspected before it leaves the factory."Yes, you read it correct. There is absolutely *NO WARRANTY* on these $30-$35/pair tweezers. This is the first product in a long time that I have seen where absolutely no manufacturer's warranty is offered. This is even more shocking for a high end product. I have no problem paying a premium price for something--but I detest dealing with companies that do not stand behind their products.Tweezerman, in contrast, offers FREE LIFETIME SHARPENING if one of their units goes bad. And if they can't fix it, they will sell you a new pair at ½ price.Taken in the context of the lower retail price, Tweezerman is the clear winner here.

Not Like The Real One
I rated this low because the tweezers I received didn’t perform like the one I purchased at a local store, but unfortunately are lost. If they were, I would give this brand and item number 5 stars. When I saw that Amazon had them I ordered these right away. I don’t know what’s wrong with these because they are the correct manufacturer and item number, but these didn’t grab not one hair. The other ones I lost were so precise that you actually have to be careful using them because it grabs hair that other tweezers can’t, and it grips the hairs so close to your skin that it can pull out the hair and skin. So you need to be precise too. These tweezers are expensive, but the problem I have is that my hairs are course and hard to pull out causing me to problems with my skin, not to mention that the hairs are black so you can easily see them. The only difference I noticed with the one I purchased through Amazon is that when I opened the package they are sold in, they just fell out. It also didn’t have the plastic top on the tip. It was sold by more than one vendor through Amazon and this one was $10 less. I don’t know if they were used and dulled, but new ones don’t fall out of its holder when you open the box.
