Lisle 17510 2-3/8 Extender Assembly
These work great. along with the Lisle 34400 Pipe Stretcher. They WILL expand 18ga stainless steel exhaust pipe, but PATIENCE IS REQUIRED !Because there are only 4 segments, you will develop "flat" areas over the space between the segments which get wider as you expand. You must stop and rotate the expander to place these "flats" over the expander segments, then continue to expand whick will round out the flats. Do this several times to maintain a nearly round pipe.I successfully expanded 6 pieces of 2-1/2" OD 304 stainless .047 wall pipe to slip fit it's own diameter.It works ! !

A good addition to the base stretcher kit
I have used it to extend the range of the base Lisle stretcher kit, and it works great with 2.5" mild steel tube. I doubt it would work with stainless. Maybe really thin stainless, I don't know. I'm not going to risk breaking the tool trying that. I don't really care, either, because this makes my DIY exhaust jobs so easy, I will just replace tubes as they rust out.The O-rings that hold the segments together are rubber/elastomer things that can break from time to time. The Lisle part number for replacements is 17710, available on line for less than $2.

Great Addition to the Lisle 34400 Exhaust Stretcher.
This is the real "deal" for an extender. With the better Lisle 34400 exhaust stretcher product this makes the job of expanding an exhaust pipe a piece of cake. Highly recommend spending more for the tool itself with this added extender. Lower priced Lisle product is not a good investment. It had 16 out of 16 bad reviews. The Lisle 34400 was 16 out of 16 GOOD reviews.
