How is the Flir One Pro for equine use?

I believe that I know what you are intending to use it for as I am looking at this for the same reason.  Crackpots, step aside.

Looking at the video that someone took of their hand, I am less enthused about the utility of this particular imaging for use with equines, canines, felines or humines (see what I did there?) as the color palate may not be broad enough to distinguish  normal tissue perfusion (which should show cooler, blue & green) from areas with inflammation/infection (which should show red/white).  I do not know if the color range can be adjusted.

I have seen a thermography done by the imbedded camera in the CAT phones and it is excellent.  Much like you would expect to see if done with a specific 'medical' unit.  I do  not know if the images I was looking at were adjusted for the surface source.  Do not know if that is a 'real thing'. or not.  I have just begun to do my investigation into this but am specifically looking at this for  tissue/animal/equine use, so would be very interested in the actual real experience  anyone has had with this application.

The android c model details indicate that model is not compatible with s8, s9 etc, however the item photos show it to be attached to a galaxy s8 ?

I have an Samsung S8+. The C connector is the Android connector for the S8+, hence it can be used with the S8+

How is the Pro version different than the original Flir One?

The resolution is improved by 4x.  Flir one has 80x60 vs.  Flir one pro has 160x120  The temperature range is improved: flir one  -20 °C – 120 °C  vs.  Flir one pro -20°C – 400°C.  The connector for android is a standard connector for the flir one and a C mount for the Flir one pro.
