My Favorite Air Gauge, (Solid Build & Accurate)!
This is a very well made and accurate air gauge! One thing's for sure, I'll never use a pencil type air gauge again!I really, really like this air gauge from Longacre. Not just because it incorporates the oil filled buffer, for longer life, and longer sustained accuracy. But what I really like is the larger gauge, it's simply easier to read and hold. The 17" air hose is a great length, and really flexible.Everything about the build and make of this air gauge is high quality.I have one of there more basic models, that isn't oil filled, but I wanted a higher end model, so I can always cross check my readings.Just in case I may drop one or the other, thats enough to make me wonder, Did I just mess up it's calibrated readings. So now with both on hand, I can always double check my tire pressure, and be positive about it.This is a really well made air gauge, with a really nice protective gauge cover, nice and thick to absorb most jarring shocks. This gauge also has a very nice feature, that my less expensive model doesn't have, it's that this model "Holds" the pressure reading after you release, or pull off the air chuck from the tire valve. So one quick push down of the air chuck to get a pressure reading, and then release it, and the gauge is still holding the pressure reading. So now, if you need to take a closer look, you can with this model, and then once your satisfied, you just reset the gauge, all you need to do is to push the release valve, which is the small silver button located on the black metal housing that connects the air hose to the air gauge. This button is also called the bleeder valve. It can also be used to deflate the tire, if you've overfilled your tire by a pound or two, and have your reading, by pushing the bleeder valve, while the gauges air chuck is still depressed on your tire valve, you just push this button, to release air from your tire, then release the button when it reaches the desired pressure reading.Another really desirable feature is this air gauge is Dead On Accurate.I've used it to check my other Longacre air gauge, which is also dead on accurate as this one is, but I took this one up to my cousins auto shop where he has calibrated air gauges, and this 52002 air gauge matched every pressure. I tested it at 20Lbs., 45Lbs., and 55Lbs. Each reading was right on.This air gauge is very easy to hold, very easy to read, and very easy to use.Plus the gauge itself is bigger than Longacre's other less expensive models, which is a big plus for me.This is my second Longacre air gauge, and I really love the both of them, but prefer to use this one.One thing to note about this particular model, is that you need to "Equalize" the pressure in the gauge itself, before your use it.By that I mean each time you pull it out to use, not each individual tire, but if you've had it sitting for a while (unused), and you go to check your tire pressures, the first thing you need to do is hold the gauge upright, and loosen (turn the top screw cap counter clockwise, a quarter turn), and then re-tighten the cap screw (by hand only), so that it's tight. Then use the air gauge as normal.I'd highly recommend this air gauge to anyone considering it!I'm really happy with it!

Look no further!
I recently have been searching for the tire pressure gauge. Did some research and came across this little gem. Wow! I love it. It has everything you need. I was considering a 4" dial but now, having this in the hand, that seems like it would be way too big for general use. This gauge is extremely well made. Dial is easy to read and the relief valve at the top is very clever. Some key points:Very easy to readRotates at the chuck (NOT the gauge like others) which is where it needs to beHolds the pressure until you release the button valve. Not sure why you wouldnt want this feature.Liquid filled WITH a relief valve AND a wonderful protective case that is very comfortable to hold. One thing I read in my research that stuck with me is this: A gauge being accurate is good but one that is consistent is far better. Sure, all cars have recommended pressures, but I'm sure there is more then a few of you that bought this as a track-side companion. Those factory numbers go out the window when it comes to "tuning" your tire pressure. I have every bit of confidence that this gauge will provide very accurate readings time and time again.

I really had a hard time justifying the cost of it until I had it in my hands!
I did a lot of research trying to find the best gauge for my SUV and Truck. This one has the pressure range I needed which I found to be the most accurate. The glow in the dark face has helped a few times since most places where you buy air from are not as well lit as the pump stations. I also find that the gauges attached to the fill station are never accurate. The absolute best feature for me is that it holds the pressure reading so you can read it at eye level or see it better in the light. If there is to much air in your tire just press the button and release as much as you need accurately.I really had a hard time justifying the cost of it until I had it in my hands. Now, I don't do any trips or off roading without it!If your eye sight is not as perfect anymore the numbers and lines on the gauge are very large and easy to read!

I am in the process of returning this gauge. Upon receipt, it is reading almost a full 2lbs lower than the actual reading. I having been trying to find a reliable tire gauge and am willing to spend more to get it. This is not it. I keep going back to Joes Racing 0-60psi https://smile.amazon.com/Joes-Racing-32307-Pressure-Gauge/dp/B00404WDUC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1524753691&sr=8-3&keywords=joes+racing+tire+pressure+gauge&dpID=41E0StyEEBL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch because it works great out of the package, accurate but it only last 8-12months before it starts reading 1 or 2 lbs higher. But at the price, it is worth just replacing it. I need to obtain an accurate reading mostly for my motorcycles which racing 1lb makes a difference. My Corvette also does trackdays and I need an accurate reading on that too. So in the end, the price of this gauge is not worth. The liquid made no difference. Time to explore some digital gauges next.

The best tire pressure gauge around.
I'd been through a slew of cheap tire gauges before i "pulled the trigger" on this one. Most of the cheaper gauges go bad quickly and are often inaccurate. In contrast, this is the most accurate and reliable tire pressure gauge I've ever owned. It's very reliable, easy to use, and even glows in the dark! The pressure release valve is neat and works great but be sure to not let the oil spill out! This is the gauge to get if you want to be sure about your tire pressure.Update: The knob that is turned to stabilize pressure broke. Upon inspection, it appears that it was held together with a silicone type adhesive. It held up for 2 years of steady use but this is outside of the manufacture's 1 year warranty. However, I was successfully able to reattach the knob with metal epoxy and the tire gauge is back in working order. A little oil was lost but nothing significant. I'm reducing 5 stars down to 4 for what i consider poor craftsmanship. Through all this, I still really like the gauge and still recommend it.

Does not read correct pressure.
I purchased this to replace a broken longacrepressure gauge of the exact same type.1of 2 that I have had for over 6yrs. Used primarily for Motorsport use so accuracy is important. Both of the old gauges have been perfect and accurate and I have been very happy with them. Received the new one and tested over a couple of days to ensure correct readings and yes I released the pressure on the top screw. The new gauge as per the pictures was down 1.5 -2 psi on each test, also for some reason the oil level in the gauge was a lot lower. Don’t know if that makes any difference? I am returning it for a refund and will purchase locally to avoid all this inconvenience.
