Description

Pure, round-grain silica sand from Nevada, USA for foundry and other demanding industrial uses (sand core, greensand, etc). Kiln-dried, high purity (low-clay and mineral contamination) for very high temp service. 70 Mesh is the ideal grain size for making sand cores in many cases. Grain Size: 70 mesh, though considered medium in the world of industrial sand, is actually finer than sand that is generally available at big-box home improvement stores (see photo with US nickel included for scale). Most non-industrial users typically consider this to be fine sand. Coloration: This is a natural product and the color may drift slightly from batch to batch. Generally this means the sand will be subtly more white or more tan depending on the exact location in the quarry it is taken from.
