Great seller!
Had an issue with the initial shipment in that it was 15%underweight ; contacted seller and he sent an immediate new shipment ( this time with weight in excess) and a free gift to compensate for my trouble. Bacalhau itself was of good quality , more on the thin side than the super thick pieces we would get from time to time in Brazil. My mom - native Portuguese - made us all a great bacalhoada over Thanksgiving! Very good taste and texture and certainly Norwegian origin - as it should be- not the cheap Chinese imitation that is not even cod that is circulating in the Internet. Will definitely buy again!

This is not bacalhau
Please don’t be fooled. This is absolutely not bacalhau (dried codfish). Very disappointed with this product.

This bacalhau is very good quality . I have cooked with it already and I am very pleased. It is shipped directly from Portugal so it took a long time to get to me and it was received in three different packages arriving in three separate days. I was disappoointed however that could not track the packages as I thought for a while that they were lost.

Bought it from another seller but I am very pleased with the product. I buy bacalao every year for Christmas, and this year I found it at a cheaper price and very good quality. I soak it for 3 days, change the water once or twice at day, and cook it Spanish style. Eat it over toasted Italian style bread with a little squeeze of lime and some olives, very good!

Fell short of expectations, won't buy again
I specifically purchased pieces with skin and bone for a planned recipe (bakailua pil-pilean) and this was the only vendor offering this. While I did get two decent-sized pieces, they were pretty thin and of low quality. Also, one of the pieces was damp, which should never happen. They were not in an enclosed bag, but a sort of tube of plastic, open at both ends, in a box which arrived damaged. I'll probably just make an ajoarriero and chalk it up to experience.

It was not dry it was wet and smelly I only hope its good when I cook it,I'm very disappointed because I've never buy saltfish and get any thing like this before
