I thought we were buying our comfort when my toddler play by/in the pool with this product, but I was wrong. It is very bulky and forces her face up in the water, both of which she hated. If you are going on the boat, this is the perfect product. If you are looking for the floating devise for pool/ocean, this is not the product.Update: Yes, it is true that I was trying to use this for wrong purposes. However, my # of stars for the rating is for original purpose. It looked ok when my baby was standing, but was too bulky & uncomfortable when she sit down.

However, it really rubbed up the sides of his face after a few hours of wear. But he was able to put on and off all by himself

This is a nice quality item, with the shell made from wetsuit material. According to the website description it seemed to have all the criteria that we were told to look for: zippered front, two straps across front, leg strap, head pillow, no floatation inserts in the back. Eventhough I could not see the zipper in the photo, I bought it because the website description of this vest specifically listed "Heavy Duty Font Zipper". No zipper. Returning this and buying the nylon version that clearly shows a zipper. Interestingly, the nylon version does not specifically list the zipper in the textual description... so we shall see what I get with that purchase.
