The only reasons why I haven’t given a full five stars is because the sweets were much tougher than I expected. I was expecting a softer texture, but these felt drier than the usual sweets from this brand. (Maybe my batch was a bit faulty???) Still very enjoyable as the taste was amazing, and they weren’t sticky or melted.

There seems to be a whole subgenre of sweets entirely filled with sweets that masquerade as fizzy or sour when actually what they are is just literally coated in pure sugar, which adds absolutely nothing to the flavour, in fact, making the sweet taste worse, making it a lot unhealthier and also hurting your mouth if you eat more than 4. These fall into that category quite comfortably, as some of the most disappointing sweets I've consumed in literal years. If you're ever been to a corner shop and had Bebeto "fizzy" watermelons then you'll know exactly what I mean. These are effectively the same. Why is it so hard to find good sweets on Amazon? Because they deliberately make them LOOK identical to the actually nice sweets to trick idiots like me into buying them when you can't taste test them. Do not buy these if you are a self-respecting sweet-eater. Hurts your mouth more than sour sweets, tastes 50x less good.

I've ordered these sweets a few times now, and each time has been fine. The order arrived swiftly, in a good quality box and they're a very enjoyable snack while I work. This time, I ordered another box, and it arrived today. Unfortunately, the box came defective. It was completely sealed, however the lid was somehow not completely pressed closed. As a result, I was able to open the lid with the seal completely in tact. It disturbs me to think about how long these have been opened for, or if they were ever truly sealed in the first place. The sweets this time also were a different colour and had an almost fermented odour. Like I've said, i've ordered a few times now, and this is the first time i've seen this defect. It's a shame they don't have a returns policy. (For good reason, i'm sure.) I love these sweets, but not enough to risk my health eating them.

These are indeed watermelon sweets, but I bought these for my husband as a present because he likes the ones from the sweet shop and they are nothing alike. The taste is weird, and the sugar is not sour at all like the normal ones. V disappointed. If you want a very flavoured and not sour sweet, then this is it. If you are expecting the usual sour watermelon slices, keep looking. And let me know when you find them!
