Precise fit.
The only way to go.. I used the recommended gasket maker the first time and what a pain! With this gasket there’s no waiting time to cure, clean up on the mating surfaces is a breeze and can be re-used! Absolutely no issues with it and a great price!

Good Quality Gasket, the fit is reasonable.
Good quality gasket, the fit, ie the hole line up with the diff bolts is a little off though, not enough to be super concerned about but yeah once most of the bolts were in there was two holes that didn't line up 100%, they were about half a moon shape out. I had to trim it to get the bolts though. When i say trim, i mean used the bolt to pull squish it and then move the squished bit out of the way so i could get the bolt through and tightened up. Docked it one star for that. Other than that, gasket sealed good and would purchase again. I have a Ford F150, 2016, FX4

Gasket did not seal, initially..
Unfortunately the gasket did not seal despite prepping both the differential and differential cover surfaces. Now I'll need to buy another 3 quart of oil and a different gasket or gasket maker. Save yourself some time and money, buy a different product.Update: Gasket worked fine, I accidentally bent the differential cover lip which cause the leak. After hammering the lip down (gently) the leaking stopped. Took the truck for a quick spin, still no leak.Learn from my mistake: Do not use a flat head screwdriver to peal off the cover, use a flat scrapper.

Perfect fit on my F150 9.75 rear.
The cover on my rear was originally installed with sealant. This made the cover hard to remove, and posed the prospect of gouging the face of the pumpkin in the attempt. The only reason that mfgrs use sealant is to reduce cost. Considering what pickups cost nowadays, you would think they could afford a gasket. I installed two studs, stuck the gasket to the cover with adhesive and evenly cross torqued the bolts to 33 ft. Lbs. No leaks, and it will be easy to change the lube in the future.

Waste of Money
I recently bought the FEL-PRO RDS 55476 axle housing cover or differential seal for a repair on my vehicle’s rear axle, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The seal did not fit properly, even though the part number matched my vehicle’s specifications. Despite trying to follow the instructions carefully, I ran into several issues with the installation. The seal felt flimsy and didn’t provide a secure fit in the axle housing, and I found that it allowed oil to leak, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. The material didn’t seem to have the durability I was expecting, and after just a few miles, I could see traces of oil around the seal, indicating it wasn’t holding up. I ended up removing it and going with a different brand that provided a better seal and tighter fit. Another frustrating issue was the lack of clear instructions on how to properly torque the seal, which left me unsure if I was applying the correct pressure. While the price was tempting compared to other options, it definitely wasn’t worth the hassle. The build quality seemed poor, and it just didn’t perform as expected. I would highly recommend spending a little more on a higher-quality seal that actually provides the performance you need. Overall, this part caused more problems than it solved, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone needing a reliable differential seal. It’s unfortunate because FEL-PRO typically makes good products, but this particular seal just didn’t measure up to their usual standards.
