Sony Original Playstation One Console (Renewed)

You can look at all my reviews and see that I actually buy the products I review. NOTHING is given to me!!! With that being said let me say this...I have been looking for an Original Fat Playstation for months now. Primarily through Facebook Marketplace, and in my local area. I also looked 2hrs from my local area and it was a terrible experience. People list stuff and do not reply back until weeks later. So I did what was against my better judgement and decided to spend twice the amount through Amazon. Well I am so glad I did. I got an original controller, all the hook up cables, and a beautiful and I mean beautiful console. I just fired it up today even though I have had it for a couple of days and it turned on just fine. Note: I have not tested it with a Playstation game, but I'm sure it works. I put a CD in it and it played fine. If it doesn't read a game, the beauty of Amazon unlike Facebook Marketplace is that I can return it within 30 days. All I can speak to is my experience. SO FAR....I am not dissapointed in the slightest! To be honest this is just part of me collecting all playstations up to this point. I only need one more and that is the PS3. The goal is to buy every sony console I have ever owned from childhood through adulthood. I managed to score a fat PS2 on Facebook Marketplace but have been striking out with a PS3. I cannot say that you will get the same level of product I received but I would buy from this seller again. Model Received: SCPH-9001 Condition: Excellent Power On: Yes Display Video: Yes Cables: Yes Reads CDs: Yes Reads Games: Did not have one to test with Original Controller: Yes In this condition and at this price, it is a steal!!

Very, very nice. Console works just fine. It was very clean, too! No smudges or prints or nothing. It was clear that it hadn't been used in awhile though, as it had an issue reading a couple of discs that worked just fine at first. It also came with an offbrand controller, (which I'm usually worried about due to those typically being terrible) but it feels and functions totally normal. I do wish refurbished console bundles came with memory cards, but that's just me nitpicking for the sake of it. Thank you!

First -star: I appreciate the HDMI cord that was included, but the PlayStation 1 does not have an HDMI port. There was no power cord included. Thankfully, I still had the power cord from my original PlayStation 1 that had stopped working a few years ago. Second -star: When I first turned on this renewed PlayStation, it did not seem to recognize that I had put a game disc into it. Once I turned the power off, and a little later decided to try again, it did read the disc and finally brought up the game's title screen. I almost gave up on it too soon. Third and 4th - stars: The title screen of the game came up, but it did not respond to the Start button - or any button - being pressed on the included controller. I tried switching to two other old controllers that I had on hand, even tried rebooting with my old controllers... the game would not respond to input from any of the controllers. This leads me to believe that something may be wrong with this unit's primary controller port. If it will not respond to controls, I cannot properly play any of my PlayStation 1 games, and my money spent for a replacement PlayStation 1 was wasted. If you want happy customers, please make sure that the unit -will work- and work with included controller(s) before sending. Just seeing a game title screen on TV is not sufficient if it will not interact with user controls. A PlayStation without the "play" is just a station.

Ps1 that was received is basically new! Was given a Sony Grey duelshock 1 controller that was not used at all which is awesome! Just come prepared because said ps1 doesn't come with a memory card or an analog to digital converter to hook up to a modern Computer monitor or Smart TV. Does come with analog cables if you still got a old analog TV still around the home though!

Works great son loves it was birthday gift.

A good value for the money , a the kids love playing the retro games an we have a variety of games they can play a purchased 2 , I didn’t have .

Do not order from this person. Everything looked good when opened but it will not even spin the CD because it's been refurbished so poorly the CD mount is wobbly and uneven. Obviously it was not tested before it was sent. Be warned!

I won’t ever buy anything used like this again. There’s nothing wrong with it and it works for most games, but my kids didn’t love it and I can get more retro games by spending my money on more advanced gaming systems that house thousands of old games. Save your money and just buy the new technology.

Nada reacondicionado. Afortunadamente la consola se encuentra en muy buen estado de conservación. Bien por la consola, mal por la condición de “reacondicionado”.

Es la versión Slim. Falla al mostrar la imagen el la TV. Es triste porque realmente esperaba ampliar la colección
