A wonderful beginning reader!
Dana Meachen Rau's succinct and lively text is perfect for those just learning to read. The story follows a little girl building and playing with her robot, but the playing is a bit one-sided. Robot rows, throws, blows, mows, and more. Robot finally disappears and the little girl searches for him. When she finds him, she is much nicer! With great humor and emotion, the story entertains both reluctant readers and those who love to read. Wook Jin Jung's fun and bright illustrations tell half the story, which makes it all the more entertaining to read!

Great for teaching new readers
This is the perfect book for my 3 year old that is devastated she can’t read all words yet. The words all rhyme and the comic book style frames on the page are fantastic. After meltdowns every time we read a story that she couldn’t read, I taught her how to spell the word go. Then she is able to read all the go words in this book. Peace has finally returned to our home.

Great for beginning readers!
Great for beginning readers! This graphic novel uses very few words and relies heavily on the pictures to help new readers feel more secure as they learn to read. The colors are perfect and the story itself contains a lesson that children and adults alike must learn in life.

Fine
My son lost this exact book from his school library. Since he never returned it, they were asking for a large fee is it weren’t. I found the exact book on Amazon much cheaper and sent it back to school with him

An instant favorite
My 2-year-old is obsessed with this book. He enjoys having it read to him over and over again, and loves identifying the objects on each page, especially the robot! He's reallllly into robots right now. There is very little copy, which allows me to elaborate on what is happening in each scene and talk about the objects and actions, or simply read through as-is when we're short on time (or energy). It's a very simple book, but eventually he will be able to sound out the words himself when he begins to read.

Great early reader!
This was perfect for my five year old who is just starting to read alone. Easy enough for him to tackle alone and entertaining enough that he wanted to read it.
