Really Nice...
I just started getting into rucking on my off lifting days and was sick of using my weight plates during the ruck (they are sub optimal since they are bigger and take more room up). So, I ordered this plate for my 5-11 Rush12 bag. It fits into the hydration compartment perfectly. I can also fit it into the main compartment and use the cinch strap to keep it from moving around. It's really nice and a lot cheaper than GoRuck's plates. I've bought from Titan before and never had any issues. I only wish they had the 30 and 40lb plates in stock when I ordered.

20 lb. Plate for Rucking with 5.11 RUSH12 Backpack
For those of you out there searching for an alternative to the $300 backpack + $90 ruck plate from the "big brand" - this is your answer! This Titan 20 lb. plate fits perfectly in the back hydration pocket of the 5.11 RUSH12 backpack - so no need to worry about it flopping around in a backpack's main/large compartment. I just wrapped it up in an old t-shirt to keep it a little more snug, and to keep the rough-ish finish of the plate from abrading the inside of the pack. Weight of the plate seems accurate - I stepped on my (reliable) bathroom scale with the pack on, then off, and the fully loaded (pack + this plate + t-shirt wrapped around it + random old clothes to fill out the main compartment) weight was 26.4 lbs. So if the weight of this plate is off, it's not by much. There was ZERO chance I was paying $4.50 per lb. for a plate from the "big brand" - I mean it's a big chunk of metal. If it weighs around the right amount, that's all we need. If you're really concerned about long-term durability, spray it with a canned rubberized sealant or something. The 5.11 RUSH12 is pretty great too - but that's for a different review. The main message is - for $152, you can be "all in" to get started rucking for fitness, and that includes a $12 waist belt (Fire Force here on Amazon, with colors to match every RUSH12 color!) to add to the RUSH12, because it has attachment points to do so, and it stabilizes your ruck even more. To recap - $100 for the 5.11 RUSH12, $40 for this Titan 20 lb. plate, and $12 for the Fire Force waist belt (buy a 1.5" for the RUSH packs). This is compared to $260 to $390 just to get started with the same setup from the "big brand"! My first ruck with the setup last night was great - 3 miles at a rather quick pace, pack felt very stable and secure. My wife rucked 3 miles with it this morning as well, and no complaints.

It is what I needed and not too much money
Good weight. Easy to add to my ruck or to use alone. For the price, it is spot on. I didn’t need to pay extra for a name. I needed a weight. This does the job.

simple purpose - simple problems + simple solutions = four stars.
It's a weight, that's what it is and what it's for and it does that simple task well. A foreseeable problem is lettering is raised and the coating on the whole plate is textured, and those projecting, textured edges and lettering may abrade the material of a pack over time with friction of repetitive movement; but you can tape over the edges and lettering. Or duck/duct the whole dang thing if you like.

Great rucking weight
Great weight. THe edges are a little rough, but it is cast metal. Put the edges in a pool noodle. Problem solved. better than some higher priced options. Titan products are a great deal for the buck.

Beautiful Piece of Iron
This ruck plate arrived a full seven days ahead of schedule. My biggest concern, since I'm doing a GORUCK 50 Mile Star Course event, was that the weight would be shy of the required 20lbs. But after having unwrapped it, I immediately took it over to my bathroom scale and saw that it came in at 20.6lbs. The finish on the plate was great, with just two small spots that needed some touch-up. After adding some additional padding to the bottom of plate and some more to the sides of the laptop pocket in my 5.11 Rush 72, it felt great on a 25 mile ruck this past Friday. There were no hot spots or burrs on the plate itself, which was great to see. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to pay the $90 for the GORUCK brand plate, unless the branding is that important to you. Do yourself a favor and shop all of your ruck plate needs from Titan, and save your money for the GORUCK packs.
