Charter of the United Nations and Statute of the International Court of Justice

I carry this thing everywhere literally, well not so literally. I am an avid researcher over the United Nations itself and as an undergrad, it's sometimes difficult to find quality resources. I'm so glad I found this as it has been foundational to my success as an undergrad researcher on the institution itself. I use it often and have unfortunately found numerous areas in the wording that question the validity of the institution itself... Otherwise my own findings aside, it's a great resource for all students and researchers alike. Very affordable, at least when I got it for I think $5 this past spring.

I was ignorant of how the United Nations operates; therefore, I decided to purchase this small pocket-size text. I made a good decision. The UN will continue to play a vital role in world affairs. In light of the civil war taking place in Syria and the supposed use of chemical weapons in that country (President Al-Assad is accused of ordering the use of chemical weapons on rebel forces), and Iran's nuclear program (Iran is accused of developing nuclear weapons. In my view, as a sovereign nation, Iran has the right to have a nuclear program), one needs to understand how the UN Security Council operates. Russian continues to be an ally of Iran on the Security Council. Purchase this text!

I like that it is the real thing. I don't like that it is so small. I would like that it was so small if I wanted to carry it around with me, but I want to put it on my shelf as a reference. Looking for something larger, perhaps as part of another collection.

Read this and weep. The US violates this on a daily basis - and most of us have no idea.

This is a really small pamphlet with a slightly different cover than what is shown here. However, it is certainly the Charter of the United Nations.

Wirh the current desire to use the UN for non-traditional Roles any citizen following Presidential activities should have a copy handy. JIM

Es muy lindo, recibí el amarillo. Pero debo enfatizar en que son de bolsillo y vienen muy pequeños.

La commande est arrivé à temps dans un parfait. L'objet correspond à la description et à la photo, rien à dire! (Par contre, on pourrait se tromper sur la taille du livre, qui en faite est très petite, mais cela le rend très pratique.)

Jeder kann kostenfrei auf eine PDF Version der Charter der Vereinten Nationen zugreifen, aber meiner Meinung nach ist eine Print-Version ein Muss für jeden, der ein Interesse an internationalen Organisationen und Politik hat. Die Qualität der Druckes ist super und besser als jene der günstigsten offiziellen Version der UN. Kurz gesagt: meiner Meinung nach die beste Ausgabe der Charter, die es derzeit gibt.

I'd suspect if you're buying this then you already know what you're getting, as it's available for free to examine in various places, since it is a legal governing document of an organisation. That being said, it's formatted well for the Kindle, and at this price I thought it was pretty neat to have my own copy of it, which helps when I'm doing work in the library. The advantage of using a digital (kindle or computer) copy over a paper one is fairly obvious: no looking through glossaries or shuffling through pages for a quote, just use the search feature.
