Type Talk: The 16 Personality Types That Determine How We Live, Love, and Work Kindle Edition

This is an old book from the 80s, so MBTI talk has become more sophisticated, as can be expected. It was a good overview of the types in different situations though, so I think it's worth reviewing as a reference.

This book is eye-opening and a great tool for better understanding yourself and others. I've found it so helpful in modifying my relationships with coworkers and my bosses. I'm giving this to everyone I know for Christmas :)

Need to better understand those around you? Ever wonder why the heck people do the things they do? Well, then this is the book for you! Based on the theory that everyone is born with a preferred way of being, the Meyers Briggs personality types are actually quite enlightening. It can be quite freeing to realize that people are the way, they are, outside of oneself. It's them, not you. I would recommend this book to everyone, especially those who take everyone and everything personally. You know who I'm talking about...

This is a must read for anyone who wishes to understand themselves and what makes others tick. I first read this book about 25 years ago and it enlightened me on personality differences of NORMAL people. This is based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator of 16 personality types> for example have the same personality type as Oscar Madison of the Odd Couple. LOL

This used book was exactly as advertised and rec'd in the time frame promised. LOVE the book; am studying the Enneagram process and this book based on personality traits was a great addition, adding valuable insight.

I'm a huge fan of the MBTI and this book is great. Lots of detail, easy to comprehend.

This book was recommended to me by someone who is trained in Personality Types. I took the questionnaire with this person so this book is the 'companion' to the work I've been doing. But, it is not necessary to use the book along with a professional!!Type Talk is written very well, easy to understand, with a lot of examples. It's not written in a technical fashion, so any lay person can understand what is discussed. As far as the information: packed full. This is a great book. I'm thinking of picking up a few copies for some people close to me. (I'd give them my copy when I'm done but I'm going to hang on to for future reference!) The authors don't expect the book to be the final, end-all problem solver. Rather, it's a tool to understand the way people tend to act, think and talk. It's great for figuring out relationships at home, work or with friends and why we all react the way we do. I highly recommend it.

They break down the types and all the components in ways that are incredibly easy to understand. In addition there is tons of practical analysis for how to use this information in your daily life, whether at work, school, with spouses, friends, kids, etc. Super interesting read if you're wanting to learn more about the 16 personality types!

Great book and very easy reading for anybody interested in MBTI and how it applies in life, but not interested in loads of jargon. I am about to start on Type Talk at work. I have ordered the latter in print rather than kindle edition because it was a book I wanted to flip backwards and forwards with ease and regularity.

The book itself may be great as still unread and it was supposed to be a present for a friend but it looks horrible. There are clear signs of the book being packed incorrectly so it was squashed during transit. As per pictures I'm not happy with the quality at all.

This book has opened my eyes to the different types of personalities, now I can understand that there are many and different people who can be very different and unique. thank you.

I read this book cover to cover and referred back to it several times. I love to research theories that help me understand others and myself better and this was a top rated purchase. The bias is for conventional heterosexual relationships (marriages) and employment sounds very much like conventional retail/ sales when these topics are discussed. But - still able to apply the learning and insights.

You read this book and it's a little spooky. Have they interviewed me for this. The profile that is more me is very accurate. I know you do not fit exactly, but if you're looking to understand how you function in this life well this is an excellent book to start with. Very insightful.
