Tyler Makes a Birthday Cake! Hardcover – April 22, 2014

My 4 year old really likes this book. He likes all of the "Tyler" books since his name is Tyler and he likes to help cook. My only complaint is that in these books, Tyler learns all about the ingredients that go into whatever he's cooking (in this one, it's a carrot cake). Tyler learns all about raisins for his recipe, which I do put in carrot cake, but then never mentions them again when he's baking the cake. Maybe it's because raisins are bad for dogs and they didn't want anyone to mistakenly put raisins in their dog's cake. Admittedly, this is minor, but it always aggravates me when I read it.

I bought this book after buying the previous 2 for my grandsons. They love all of them! It is refreshing to find a story about boys loving to be in the kitchen and cook. The illustrations have a lot of depth. Everywhere you look, something else is happening. I admit that I thought the illustrations of the characters were a little odd, but I got used to them because the story is so good at explaining where our food comes from. Love this series!!!

My son can't get enough of these books, I have to read him all 3 just about every night! It's educational and gives a fun adventure of where our food comes from.

My son absolutely loves the Tyler books and we greatly enjoy reading them to him. I jut wish there were more than 3!!

This is a fun story that my two boys absolutely love!! They couldn’t wait to help me make the carrot cake! Highly recommend

My daughter is 3.5 and loves this book. What at great plot baking a cake for your dog's birthday. Very festive. I have purchased at least 5 of these from Amazon for birthday gifts. All well received.

My 4 year old son loves this book as well as the other two. If I could only remember to pick up buttermilk...
