I'll never go back
I've been a runner and have run for years in normal mesh shorts with athletic underwear. After marathon training last summer, I wanted something a little more lightweight. I always had a fear that running in these kinds of shorts with a liner wouldn't provide enough support for the boys, but I figured I'd give them a shot. These things are freaking fantastic. They are light, they are airy and they are comfortable as can be. The boys are held gently, but snuggly. I'll never go back to my old shorts. Ever.I also purchased a Baleaf brand pair. Both pairs are comfortable, but the mesh in these Starter ones are softer and gentler feeling. I love these shorts.

For the price...INCREDIBLE product
6'1-185lbs with a 34" waist and the MEDIUM great. Not too baggy and not too tight. As for the overall design these are exactly what I was looking for. I'm an ex-collegiate runner but I also do strength training; therefore, the buns and thighs are decently thick. That being said, I have no shame in wearing the 1" split XC shorts but I've always wanted a pair of 3" RUNNING shorts with the inner-lining. I don't like wearing compression tights underneath during long runs because mentally it messes with me. My legs like the freedom. Also, helps protect from chaffing. That being said...PROS:- fit great - goes to upper-mid to mid thigh depending on leg length but definitely a bit more gym friendly- has a drawstring so don't need to worry about adjusting- inner-lining is snug on the undercarriage but not suffocating- material stretches easily with all ranges of motion- NO unnecessary side pockets; back pocket is nice size for a key/gu/etcCONS- cannot speak for long-term quality as I just got these- careful with sitting down and manspreading - the white inner-lining does peek out the sides and if you're a gifted/lucky guy you may need to be cautious of exposing anything

Running Shorts w/Zippered Pocket
I ordered a pair of these on Amazon Wardrobe along with two other pairs of running shorts by different brands. These were the only shorts I kept from that order. I recently bought another pair of these shorts in a different color, based on my experience with my first pair.Your reviewer is 6’2”; I wear a medium. Just like in the advertising pictures, their hems are no closer to my knees than my fingertips. These are running shorts, but they aren’t split high on the hip. They’re still a bit short for “leg day” in my gym, though. They can double as swim trunks, but you might want to take your phone out of the pocket first. Speaking of the cell-phone pocket, it is made of very flexible material and holds an IPhone 6s just fine. The phone rides in the region where, uh, the tailbone joins the spine, if you will, and took a few miles for me to get used to, but the pocket is tight enough that the phone doesn’t shift or bounce. My one complaint has to do with the drawstring. It has the Starter logo printed on it in rubberized ink, which makes tying a knot more work than it needs to be. Once tied though, it doesn’t come undone easily, and a double knot is superfluous.Overall a functional garment with useful features at a reasonable price.

Runs small
I have a 33 waist so I thought to go with the medium but it was tight. The shorts themselves were ok-- nothing special. Sadly, my favorite Adidas shorts are getting old so I bought these to see if they were a possibility. While the size was on the small side, I also have to comment that these don't seem to be of extraordinary quality either.

Liner inside too small
The inside liner to hold, you know, is too small and doesn't hold much in. If you are on the ground to do stretches, you will be exposing yourself. I just use these around house now. Still a comfortable short and love the 3" shorts.

Good Exercise Shorts
I bought two pair in different colors. I liked them, so I got a third pair in another color. They're comfortable and cool. The only negative I have is that there's a key pouch (which I would normally use when I go back to the gym), but it's located in the back, just above the base of the spine. On a treadmill or elliptical that's fine, but if you use weight machines, you would be leaning back against anything in that pouch. A simple redesign of moving the pouch to the front would solve the problem.

Extremely lightweight and comfortable, especially for summer running
These are excellent running shorts. I have owned several and none are quite as comfortable. The built-in liner is superb, and nicely secures the goods. I'm 6'1, 196 lbs with quite a bit of muscle mass. I generally wear a 33 waist, but sized up on these from a medium to a large because my quads are a little bigger. The large works perfectly. If you're looking for shorts to hold your phone, these are not the pair for you. I always hold my phone in hand while running, so this was not a problem for me.

Pass
Inseam is misleading when the waistband is 3 inches wide.Back pocket was not sewed together. Did not notice this until after I worked out in them.Fabric feels stiff. Overall not the best and I would not recommend.
