I am a natural dark brunette growing out my gray, so I had lots of highlights and lowlights added to my hair. I have spent so much money trying expensive purple shampoos, and finally tried this. Just one wash and this removed all brassy and yellowish color from my highlights. Any purple shampoo will dry out your hair, but this left my hair feeling soft. I do use a leave-in conditioner after I towel-dry my hair, but I always have because of my hair's exposure to sun, heat, and styling. I highly recommend this product! It really, really does work.

I tried all the expensive stuff and did not get the results I wanted. This product took care of it in one washing. Don't use too much, and don't leave it on more than 3-5 minutes or you'll end up with purple tones. Like all purple products, it's not particularly moisturizing, so you'll definitely want to condition. My shipment took a bit longer than I would have likedm but the big giant bottle will last me a year, so it's okay. I just with I had discovered this sooner. P.S. The directions on the bottle are not in English, so you'll have to refer to the Amazon description online to know how to use this stuff. I recommend once a week, maybe a tablespoon for shoulder length hair, lather, and rinse ... no longer than 5 minutes, and it won't lather much.

This is the best purple shampoo I have tried. It really seems like it does the job with getting some the brassy colors out. I don't notice any bothersome scents and the consistency is good. It doesn't foam up in your hair so you might be tempted to use more than you need. It has a super deep purple color that till temporarily stain your hands and even a little in the shower. I wish it came in a pump because I keep getting purple all over the bottle.

The best , but turned my hair kinda “green/blue” when I used too much! Definitely perfect , got lots of compliments! Better than any purple shampoo I’ve used in 10 years!

If you’re like me and have very light highlights (platinum in some areas) or lighter blonde, but regular purple shampoos seem to make your hair warmer instead of cooler…this is the shampoo you need! I was so frustrated; even my platinum areas would look warmer toned after purple shampoos (everything from Joico and Pravana to Fanola). My stylist told me I have a ton of hidden warmth in my hair, so when I use shampoos with straight purple pigment (even balance of blue and red), my hair would grab the red pigment and come out warmer than before I washed. She explained that I needed the violet/purple shampoo, but I needed one with additional blue pigment to get the super icy cool results I like. Enter, Schwarzkopf Goodbye Yellow. The first time I used it, I left it on too long and turned my scalp, hands, and hair blue😂, so do a strand test first!!! My hair still often looks blue tinged when I’m finished showering, but after blow drying, it looks icy and platinum just like I love! Brunettes who want a cool kick will love this also because of the extra blue pigment. I will say, this shampoo is quite moisturizing as far as toning shampoos go…surprisingly, it isn’t drying for my hair at all. I do wash with regular shampoo first (usually clarifying), and the use this as a second wash. These shampoos are made to tone, not deep clean. My only complaint is, this bottle badly needs a pump, especially the large size. A bottle that big and a screw on top, combined with my clumsy self in the shower, is often disastrously messy.Some tips;-Again, I can’t say it enough: do a strand test first…this stuff is heavy duty pigmented!-Wear gloves, it WILL stain your hands and fingernails!-ONLY use it once a week or even once every 2 weeks. Anymore than that and you risk dulling/darkening your hair. I typically clarify before using to keep this from happening.

Works great on eliminating brassiness. But wear gloves! Because the purple gets everywhere! My only complaint is that it gets underneath my nails & around my cuticles

Seems to be doing it’s job so far just after 1 use. I am a natural virgin blonde and my hair has drastically transitioned over time from a bright blonde to a deep strawberry blonde. I was missing my brighter light blonde so thought to give this a try and I am happy so far. Nothing crazy yet, but the grassiness has dissipated and my color looks brighter so I’m confident after a few uses it’ll get back to what I want. Just be aware… it makes a massive mess in the shower but if you quickly splash the walls with water it’ll be sure to go away. I actually used gloves in the shower because I was scared it would stain my hands but I’m sure if you didn’t use, you could get away with a quick rinse. Looking forward to future results!
