Masterpiece Mystery!: Grantchester, Season 9 DVD

I am a fan of the 'Grantchester' BBC television series. And like many viewers, I have learned to deal with the main lead character changing 3 times from the show's inception. The ensemble cast remains solid, as do the production values and various storylines. 'Grantchester' is another reminder that the current state of television drama in the U.S., is sorely lacking the vision and intelligence to create such wonderful storytelling. BBC television shows like 'Father Brown', 'Professor T', 'Sister Boniface Mysteries', Inspector Lewis', and 'Endeavour' are perfect examples of what the British industry can create. This DVD reminds us of the intelligent storytelling in the 'Grantchester' series. Worth your investment.

We love this show. We had several seasons of it on DVD but not all. I decided to complete our collection.

About time the producers have the main character has personality and a good actor.

I have watched the whole series and was not disappointed with the path this one took. Love the new guy!

It's great to see that the continuity of the series carry on with a new main cast member. I really enjoyed the new vicar . Can't wait for series 10.

Season 9 is everything one could wish in a continuation of the fan favourite, Grantchester. All the characters in this gripping season have a part to play in the many murders that Geordy Keating and Alfie have to investigate. The added suspense of Alfie's tenure as the vicar comes to an extremely satisfying conclusion when Susan Chapman rallies the parishioners to his support. Viewers will not be disappointed by the gripping sequences. Well worth the wait.
