Paying for a name (nice sticker).

This is a completely assembled strut. It doesnt require any special tools, and mine went right in without any problems. I gave it three stars because the strut (left and right) are both making this strange noise. It almost sounds like a squeek or grinding sound when going over small bumps. So I stopped the car at the walmart parking lot and popped the hood. When I bounce on the front end i can hear the struts making this noise. I reached up inside the spring and the dust boot feels loose like maybe it is rubbing or something. The struts I removed were 4 year old monroe quick struts, and they didn't make this noise. This weekend I'm putting back on the old struts and seeing if the noise disappears. If the noise disappears I will never ever buy another strut online. I suppose I will just have to take it to a mechanic and have it repaired. Getting it fixed seems much better than returning it (what will the shipping cost?) and I will have to wait a week while they send me new ones. And I purchased two. I gave it three stars because I still don't know what is wrong with them. I did a little research online to find that it is common to have creaks and squeaks from preassembled struts. I somehow thought Moog was above that, and I guess I was wrong. I will update this post with results from this weekend as soon as possible.-09/01/2017- Update-Before removing the struts from the car I decided to see if I could stop the squeaking with lube. I really dont care if I voided the warranty by doing so, because the things sounded like a broken bedspring. I sprayed some waterbased spray lubricant in the top of the strut mount bushing (driver side only) and rocked the car a little bit. The car continued to squeak from that strut for about 10 miles then quieted down significantly. I think it is a simple assembly lubrication issue with these struts. I will spray the other side today and just continue curing the squeaks as they reappear with some spray. I am upgrading my rating on these struts from 3 to 4 stars; because the quality seems ok, once you get rid of the squeaks.

2000 Impala - 204k miles

Install took me (professional technician) about an hour to remove and replace these struts on a 2000 Impala 3.4L with 204k miles. Yes I have a lot of tools to make it a fast job, but the book called for 2.2hrs, not including an alignment. Lower strut to knuckle bolts, 22mm and they are splined bolts that must be driven out using a hammer or air hammer. Top nuts are 15mm and easy. These strut assemblies come with all new hardware. These have an excellent feel, look, and finish. The presentation just out of the box is much more impressive than some Monroe's I've installed. The ride and steering improvement are drastic on this old ride. Customer will be pleased. Give the car a couple thousand miles to settle the springs to the normal ride height. This is expected with any new spring, regardless of what the manufacturer says.

HORRIBLE KLUNKING AND POPPING NOISES

PATHETIC. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. PURE GARBAGE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. BUYER BEWARE.Shortly after installation, the klunking and popping began in BOTH struts. It's embarrassing when people ride in my car and say "what's wrong with your car, you should trade it".I took it to a trusted mechanic to get his opinion, and he told me my installation was correct, and the noise is definitely the new moog struts. He also says one was leaking, just after a few hundred miles! UNBELIEVEABLE!I'm not a pro, but I am a very meticulous mechanic. I use a torque wrench and look up factory torque specs. This isn't my first rodeo. I've written to the moog website for help and got no response. I called them and they gave me the run-around, told me to talk to Amazon.I will replace these with something else, and I'll never order online and deal with back and forth shippingI wish I could give it zero stars. I always heard Moog was a good brand but I could not be more disappointed.

Seems good so far

Had these put in my 2002 Buick Century , the old ones were toast. The ride height was so low that my tire rubbed in hard turns occasionally . I actually liked the slammed look lowered in the front with the old ones but real world driving meant scraping parking lot blocks and curbs when you you park as well as trouble getting up on ramps to change the oil.Obviously the old ones were no good for bumps as they bottomed out even at reduced speeds when crossing railroad tracks. Now with these installed my ride height is back high, there's no weird noises and it's soaking up bumps great. They look good with the black paint too.The real test will be to see how long they last and I will update if they sink quick like most cheap quick struts do.

SO EASY A CAVEMAN CAN DO IT! (if he had tools)

My 2003 Buick century rides nice again after 120K miles, very easy to install. I changed both in under 3 hours with a few hand tools a hammer and a shade tree to boot as I no longer have a slab to work on just hard dirt, so around these parts here it's called a card board creeper to stay off the dirt! No need 4 a alignment as the 3 top studs with 15mm nuts can't move anywhere but down and the 2 through bolts with 13/16 nuts can't move anywhere straight out, just gotta have a single-jack to hit 'em out with a small punch. I drove to town which is 25 miles away and every thing was good and tight. No complaints so far as I been using MOOG parts for years racing dirt oval's as NASCAR using MOOG parts.

VERY POOR QUALITY

This is my 2nd order of this same part and it broke again. I have received 2 broken parts and the packaging was not damaged, these are junk! Will be ordering a different brand! UPDATE 3 months later now the other side is broken, same brand I bought 2 they replaced 1. I am livid!

... my 07 Impala the steering braking and control is like that of a new car

I am very impressed with the huge difference these made on my 07 Impala the steering braking and control is like that of a new car. I purchased two front once I was so impressed that I just purchased two rear ones I had two front ones put on by the shop which I'm sure I could have done myself no problem but I didn't have the time and I had the extra money. I will be doing the rear ones myself I'm sure the results will be just as great.

Quick install

Fit in, went fast. Still settling, ride height so far looks close to stock. Only on car a few hours so far, only about 30 miles. So far so good. Ride smooth on known road.

Improvise

works well, came as described. The only faults I can see is the literature. Measurements are in broken English. they should be either metric or imperial. The ones given are of no use to builders only machinists. Poor description for assembly. Works good though.
