Brilliant for securing quick-release wheels and saddles in conjunction with U-Locks.
This product is ideal for those who possess a durable U-Lock , however , have no way of securing their saddles or front wheels which possess a quick release feature - any expensive or upmarket wheels or saddles should be secured nonetheless. Ultimately , this cobra cable is the Coup De Grace of bicycle security in conjunction with U-Locks, whilst it is likely relatively straightforward to cut through assuming you possess the correct tools , it is atleast a worthwhile investment to ensure that wheels and saddles are protected - very much a necessity in dense , urban environments or inconspicuous car parks .Positives: Great length, brilliant strength , compact and durable , brilliant for securing quick release accessories or components.Negatives: It can be quick elastic , in the sense that it does attempt to return to its compact , coiled structure quite often , meaning it can be irritating when threading through bike components - this does primarily occur to the first few weeks of use, and becomes less prevalent with more usage - this should not discourage you from purchasing this product .

Do not buy this if you love your bike!
So I used this (once) to secure my quick release from wheel to my Kryptonite ‘Keeper’ bike lock. Someone obviously tried to steal my bike, this product was sitting at the side of my bike, luckily the main lock held and they’d had a couple of goes at it. Looking at the Abus cable it seems to have been cut with ease. If I could give it zero stars I would.Don’t waste your time or money, you know the saying, you get what you pay for.

Good and bad - the plastic coating helps prevent scratches to your bike frame (good) but the cable is coiled like a spring, which makes it difficult to stretch out the cable once it's looped around the wheel. You'll find the cable wants to snap back in to its coiled position and if you're fiddling around in the dark it's quite likely to smack your fingers hard. You also don't really get the benefit of the 1.85M length - it's quite tough to secure both the front and rear wheels and the frame to a fixed point as the cable's always trying to contract.

Bike lock
This is not a very exciting product so hard to make this review stand out! However, a really good thing about this cable is that all parts are plastic coated so when putting on and taking of my bike, I do not end up with paint chips on the frame. You will need to get a good lock for this, preferably a key type, as it is hard to open combination locks in the dark!!

light weight
I use it with U-lock to secure my saddle. I left it with saddle when not in use, when I want to lock I just put the end into U-lock.light weight. Suitable to lock your accessories, don't use it as primary lock.I got red ending not blue as in the picture.

Feels robust and easy to use
Feels robust and easy to use, used with decent D lock for extra security though. Great for securing wheels to Dlock.
